Vaude Brenta 26 Backpack - 1585cu in

With all its added goodies, the Vaude Brenta 26 Backpack makes a great pick for anyone who wants to get into hiking. For example, the highly vented suspension includes adjustable shoulders to help you get a dialed fit before you ever hit the trail. Vaude's Aeroflex back panel allows air to flow behind your back and keep you cool during summer trips. The Brenta 26 Backpack holds just enough gear for a long day out, and external pockets help you stay organized. This pack even comes with a compass to aid navigation and a rain cover to keep everything dry if the storm breaks.

Bottom Line: Get outside.

Nice pack, lousy waist belt

By:

I really wanted to like this pack as I thought it was well-made and had the features I was looking for, especially the mesh suspension, and some nice extras like the rain cover and ground pad. However, the waist belt was inadequate and uncomfortable, IMO. Very small pads, just at the back of the hips, no padding on the sides or front, only a narrow 1" strap. With a full load, it cut in to my waist and was very uncomfortable - on a long hike it would have gotten really old. It was also too long for me and rode up against my neck - I'm 5'4" and have a short torso, so I would not recommend it for short women.

how much weight can this pack hold?

Flag

it is a day pack at 1500 cubic inches I would not put more than 15 pounds in the pack.

In terms of material strength, the pack can hold more than you would ever want to carry.

Pretty nice pack.

Bought this pack at the beginning of the summer. The suspension system can be a little flimsy if used incorrectly. It broke the first time I used the pack, but Backcountry was kind enough to send me a new one. I reinforced the suspension on this one, and I love it, though I've found that even with the vented back I still get drenched. I tend to sweat a lot, though. All the other reviews I've read say the vents work great, so it's more than likely just me. The rain cover is fantastic, and it comes with a compass complete with whistle and thermometer. Overall a great pack.

Vaude Brenta - Awesome day pack!

By:

I purchased this day-pack a couple weeks ago for all the weekend hiking I do and it is, by far, one of my favorite packs ever. Not only is it incredibly comfortable and adjustable, but it has a great vented suspension feature on the back which keeps my back cool and dry in the Utah summer heat. The colors are great and it also comes complete with a rain cover, compass and a padded ground mat to sit on when you need a water break. I take it everywhere. Highly recommended!

Great Day pack

I bought this day pack a few weeks ago and so far it has been one the best packs I have ever owned. It has plenty of room for the longer day hikes and is also pretty light. I haven't found any flaw yet. If you are looking for a good day pack this is definately a pack to consider.
