The North Face Gamble Mid GTX XCR Multisport Shoe - Women's - 2008
The North Face Women's Gamble Mid GTX XCR Shoe is the tool you need to cruise the trails with the agility of a flying squirrel. It's ultralight and fit for flight: a GoreTex outer membrane means you're not daunted one bit by the sprinkles in the forecast, and ultralight hydrophobic nubuck/mesh uppers are soggy-proof. A protective TPU toe cap means that, even if you slow down enough for your feet to actually touch the ground, a little toe stub on a protruding rock is nothin' but mild turbulence. The Gamble GTX XCR Shoe's outers serve as grippy armor for your superwoman feet—compression-molded X-2 EVA midsoles, built-in torsional support “outriggers”, and grippy-as-goat-hooves Tenacious Grip outsoles provide traction over any terrain.
Bottom Line: For adventure racing or super-speedy off-the-beaten-path-ing, the Gamble is a sure bet.

Awesome shoes! Comfy! Easy to break in! Have not worn them in the rain yet but have no fears about it!!!!

I wore these as I backpacked through the Smoky Mountains for a week and they were great. Gore Tex pretty much saved my feet as I am not the most coordinated person when it comes to crossing creeks.
The only problem I had with them is that I didn't quite break them in enough before my trip and ended up with blistered heels.
I would recommend them to everyone, just break them in before you head out.
