The North Face Grace Hooded Jacket - Women's
You've spent a few hours picking out the perfect dinner outfit. Make sure it stays dry by wearing The North Face Women's Grace Jacket. Protected by this seam-sealed jacket's waterproof HyVent fabric, you're sure to make it to the restaurant looking as great as you did at home. The Grace rain jacket's removable hood keeps your head dry while you make your way downtown in a rainstorm. Should you be unsure of the restaurant's location, pull your cell out of its secure, dry internal media pocket, and make a call. The Grace Jacket's split hem won't inhibit your stride as you stroll down the sidewalk, and two front pockets warm your hands.
Bottom Line: Stay dry during your night on the town.

It is a raincoat.

Be sure to read all the specs. I bought this jacket and thought it was just a simple jacket. Turned out to be a raincoat. Material and all.

There have been 3 reviews: 1 one star, 1 two star, and 1 three star. 1+2+3=6 6/3=2
Two Star Average rating is just that, an average. It can change depending on if more reviews are written, but for right now it is correct.

this jacket is beautiful. super flattering and functional. not frumpy at all, like most other rainwear. length is perfect, keeps your bum and legs nice and dry. pockets are just right. i love that the hood and belt are both fully adjustable and removable so you can change the look a little. i've worn the grace in the rain, and as a windbreaker on cool breezy days - comfortable either way. the fabric is breathable and lightweight. love it!

It's not insulated, so not on it's own. It's just supposed to be a long raincoat.

Nice form-fitting jacket!

I searched for probably 5 years for the perfect rain jacket. I wanted one that was mid-length, with a hood, and fitted. I went through several very very rainy seasons basically walking around wet because I didn't want to spend $200 on a raincoat I only sort of liked. Well, then I saw someone wearing the Grace jacket...and the deal was sealed. I love it so much I have it in both black and brown. It's a classic style, something you could wear walking in the city or hiking. It's well constructed like everything North Face. Next I would like something similar with a little warmth as well, for those days in the SF Bay Area when a sweater and a rain jacket aren't quite enough.
Is this the same as the apex bionic grace jacket?

No, the apex bionic grace is essentially a longer version of the apex bionic jacket. The apex bionic line is a soft shell to provide warmth, while this jacket is not for warmth - rain protection only.

Fashion and function come together

This is a great piece; I have finally found a jacket that has great style along with function. The fabric is not only lightweight but it is also very technical providing great weather protection. Also, this jacket is packable and I can pull it out when needed. I really love that The North Face found a great mix between function and fashion!
why does the waist inches from the large to x-large is about
why does the waist inches from the large to x-large is about a 10 inches difference? my waist is a 35 and the x-large would be too big because the waist on that is 41 inches to 42

I love the fit on this jacket, it's a really good length. It rained for 2 days straight in Denver (which doesn't happen too often) this jacket kept me nice and dry coming and going to work. I definitely recommend the Grace as a waterproof lifestyle jacket.
Great Style with Functionality

This jacket has been an amazing piece for me. It is simple yet stylish and the fabric although lightweight protected me in a downpoor. I think the fabric is lightweight like others have mentioned but to me this isn't a bad thing. It is a high tech fabric that is waterproof like it should be. I would highly recommend it!
Grace not graceful

Although it has a flattering fit and I am sure the quality is there I was disappointed that this is just an overpriced plastic feeling rain coat. If this were $50 or $75 I would keep it however I will be returning it and considering another Northface product - perhaps the Kelly or K instead.
Do not buy

I bought this coat for my Girlfriends Christmas present. When it arrived we were suprised to find out it was 200 dollar windbreaker!! are you kidding me Northface? 200 dollars for a windbreaker no insulation where do you get off? I sent it back and will now have to pay an extra 50 to get the insulated version.
