By using super-soft jersey knit Australian Merino wool, The North Face Softwool Pant banishes the old notion of itchy wool baselayer to the history books. Wool has always regulated temperature better than synthetic fabrics, but the scratch factor made it uncomfortable and the shrink effect made it impractical to care for. The Softwool Pant is stretchy, machine-washable, naturally odor-resistant, and—just like its name implies—soft enough for the most sensitive cheeks in the backcountry.
