The North Face Insulated Varius Guide Pant

Maybe you're a pro guide, or maybe you're just out for a dawn patrol before a day in the cubicle. Either way, you need a warm, waterproof ski pant, and removable elastic suspenders would be nice too. The Varius Guide Pants combine HyVent waterproof/breathable fabric with synthetic insulation for your wet, chilly ascents, while removable elastic suspenders keep these babies in place throughout steep descents. Full-length, two-way side zips let you get the pants on or off in a heartbeat without taking your boots off and kick patches on the cuffs keep your boots from chewing up the pants.

Bottom Line: A tough insulated pant for backcountry or in-bounds wanderers.
