The North Face Recife Paulista Pant - Women's
The North Face Women's Recife Paulista Pants take soft cotton fabric and add quick-drying nylon so you can wear these bottoms on summer and fall hikes. Pull the Recife Paulista Pants on, cinch the included belt, stash lip balm in the zip-close utility pocket, and grab your daypack. Camo mesh pocket lining adds extra cooling on hot days.
Bottom Line: Comfy cotton and quick-dry nylon.

These pants are alright, just not my style. They have a much slimmer fit than any of my other North Face pants. The utility pocket that they mention that isn't very visible in the photo was kind of irritating - the zipper runs down the front of the leg, which makes the fit around my hips a little strange.
Seemed to be a good pant for someone looking for a (very) lightweight, slim-fitting pant, but wasn't what I was looking for. Long length was adequate (5'9").
Love 'em

I wear these pants all the time. They are very comfortable. They are great for casual walks and look good enough to put a nice shirt with and go out to eat.
is there an SPF factor in these pants?

I bought a green pair and was so pleased, I ordered a pair in gray. Since I am just shy of 5'4", the small 6's worked perfectly. Really like the fit, style and price.
Hot Pants!

These are my favorite TNF pants. They have a great slim fit while still being easy to move around in. I would not recommend them to someone with larger hips-any of the other North Face pants would probably be better for you since they have more room in that area.

Little too high waisted for me

I wore these pants in the Peruvian Amazon on some day treks. They worked well, and dried very quickly. The did fit a little high for my level of comfort (I'm 5'4"), but that's mostly because I'm used to pants that ride at the hips, not the waist. Definitely a great pair of pants for hiking though!
I like these pants!

I wanted some lighter pants for upcoming travel and decided to give these a try. They're super comfy. I waiver between 8 and 10, based on the reviews here, I went for the 10. They fit well lengthwise, and with the belt - fit well around the waste. I think 8 would have fit too tight on me. I'm excited to wear them hiking this summer.
How wide is the bottom leg opening? Are the pants more straight
How wide is the bottom leg opening? Are the pants more straight leg or boot cut?

On 4 Reg and 4 long the bottom opening is 9.25 across so 18.5 in all. The pant has more of a straight leg and I think looks great on!

These pants are super soft and lightweight. The built in belt is a nice feature. They can be scrunched and secured at the calves if you need to go wading. They aren't really sretchy at all so be aware that they run more true to size than some other North Face pants.
Super trousers!

Bought these in green in the regular length (I am 5'6") and love the fit, the fact that you can cinch them up and the love the belt. I did come back and buy the longer length in the other colour as my husband said the regular length was a little on the short side. They are slim fitting which is what I was looking for. They have a more modern style to them as well which is great as I am sick of "grandma style" hiking stuff. I would agree with the other reviewer who said that they fit more true to size than other North Face things I have purchased.
Not too shabby

I bought these pants mainly for use while searching through wilderness areas and for hiking and camping. They're a little tight through the thighs - I'm 5'10", 165 lbs, and have pretty muscular legs, I got the 14 long and they fit well lengthwise, almost a little short.
I love the material and the weight though, they are great after you cross a stream or get into a shower, they dry pretty quickly.
Great Pants!

I just bought 2 pairs of these pants, and am very pleased! I'm 5'8", and got a size 8 long and a size 10 long. Both fit well. I am usually an 8, but often buy a size up so that they fit looser for climbing. I tend to find pants that fit big in the waist and tight in the hips and butt. These pants in size 8 fit my waist perfectly without cutting off the circulation to my legs. I wore these to the climbing gym yesterday, and they were fantastic. They have a very flattering fit, are very comfortable, and thank god someone makes long pants! The belt is nice, since I can't count the number of pants I have that I can only wear with a harness, because my butt will show if I don't. With the belt, I feel like these could stretch or get wet and they would still stay up. Highly recommended!
Awesome!

I love that TNF pants come in long lengths. These fit great. The low waist looks good but isn't too low for bending. Fast-drying, nice cinching at the hem, and useful zipper pocket. The buckle ornament is a little useless and makes on/off a bit slower, but it's not a big deal. One of the buttons on the pockets came off right away but I'm convinced that no clothing manufacturer knows how to sew on a dang button anymore. That said, I like that the fly is snap rather than button.
Perfect pant

Best pants I have ever owned. I want more right away. Super light. Great for curves. Perfect for Alaska summers :)
