The North Face Ruckus Laptop Bag - 2150cu in

The North Face Ruckus Shoulder Bag is the mother of all messenger bags. This thing has a whopping 35-liter capacity, including a compartment for your laptop. A padded, adjustable shoulder strap and optional waist-belt disperse the load for comfortable carrying. The Ruckus sling bag's PVC tarpaulin lining keeps your cargo dry if it's drizzly out or if you're toting a 12-pack and the unthinkable happens. The North Face gave this large messenger bag a zip front compartment with an organizer to keep smaller items readily available. The horizontal daisy chain lets you clip 'biners to your bag when you load it up with rope and head to the crags.

Bottom Line: Holds everything you need to cause a ruckus.

MASSIVE!

By:

This thing is massive, you can stuff anything you want in here. Plenty of room, front pocket is great for organizing you pens, cards, ect. If you have a lot of books, folders, and gear you can haul it in here. Only reason I gave it 4 starts is becuase there is no handle, with a bag this big it needs to have it.

I want to get this bag for my boyfriend for christmas because

I want to get this bag for my boyfriend for christmas because he needs a laptop bag and a bag to hold other stuff as well. Is this the proper bag to get? Or is this bag way to big? I don't want it to be difficult for him to carry it.

Not really a Laptop bag, but still a great bag.

I bought this bag about 8 months ago. I was undecided whether to get the ruckus or the offsite. Having found the ruckus at 40% off, I became decided rather quickly. As previously stated, great quality and construction, mine still looks brand new after continuous use. I am, however, disappointed in the laptop sleeve, which does very little to actually protect your computer. I am still happy with the quality of the bag, however after seeing this bag and now having physically compared it to the offsite, the offsite is the better computer bag. The ruckus, however, is more suited to travel by bike.

Has anyone used it on a bike? If so, how does the load ride

Great Bag, I fit my wife in it !!!!!!

This is an awesome bag by North Face. The quality of materials is supreme, and it is extremely versatile. Like a previous reviewer, I do fin it to be big, but that suits me well because I'm always carrying a laptop and other items simultaneously, and that's no problem for this bag. The interior pockets are well divided and give many options for seperating small items like phone, pda, pens, etc. The large padded laptop divided compartment will easily fir any size laptop; including a 17" model. The waist belt has velcro attachment points which allow you to easily remove it should you wish to. The padded shoulder strap is sweet. It would be nice to have a handle, but no big deal. If you are in need of a bag with a large interior, this is the one. My only reccommendation is to get a smaller model if you are not goig to be carrying a lot of books on a regular basis, because they do get all fetched up inside if your only carrying a couple due to the large cubic inch capacity. Overall, a great bag, just keep in mind that it is not small by any means.

I have a keyboard I carry with me. It breaks down into 3 sections.

I have a keyboard I carry with me. It breaks down into 3 sections. Do you think it will fit in this laptop bag as well?

really a 2.5

I'm 5'2 and 120lbs so the bag might just be too big for me anyway. The bag is HUGE and can easily hold my computer, school books, pens, pencils, a jacket, etc..., but there are a few problems with it. 1- no handle on the bag so it makes it tough to put on/ off and adjust on your body. 2) the "waist belt" is a joke!! It's just a 1 inch velcro strap and it's way below my waist, so I can't even use it. The bag is so big, it becomes really easy to overstuff it so weight becomes a problem. I'd suggest a bag with a handle. The PVC lining is nice and there is a seperation for the computer. A really nice pen/ pencil/ cell holder is a pocket and there is a nice pocket to put whatever. My last complaint is there is no place for water! It needs a hydration thing on the side.
