The North Face Modem Backpack - 1850cu in
Your laptop is your office, entertainment center, and favorite toy all rolled into one, so you want to have it handy at all times. The North Face Modem Backpack keeps your 17-inch rectangular baby in a suspended sleeve and holds your other stuff to boot. A front organizer pocket keeps your important stuff ready for quick draw, and the side mesh pockets handle your water bottles. A removable waist-belt helps with carrying your load comfortably, and the stitched back panel includes air channels to lessen your chances of getting a sweaty back.
Bottom Line: The North Face Modem Backpack—way sleeker than 56K.

Got this in a couple days ago and am exceedingly happy with it! I don't know what happened to some of the packs reviewed here, but my Modem pack has plenty of interior pockets to keep everything organized, the computer sleeve is very secure, and it has a pair of exterior drink pockets. The straps are thick and distribute a significant load well. This pack isn't the largest by any means but then that wasn't what I was going for.
I got the white specifically because I ride a motorcycle and wanted something as visible as possible and this is VERY reflective... no one'll be able to come up from behind and claim they didn't see me!

If your laptop does not exceed 17" it will work. Depending on how many & what clothes you what to pack could be a problem.
