The North Face Fire Road GTX XCR Trail Running Shoe - Men's - 2008

When race day dawns wet and muddy, pull on The North Face Men's Fire Road GTX XCR Trail Running Shoe for stability and weather protection in a lightweight package. Thanks to a waterproof breathable Gore-Tex XCR membrane, the Fire Road GTX XCR excels at road and flat trail racing in poor, wet conditions. A Northotic insole and compression-molded EVA midsole add comfort, while the X-2 rearfoot crashpad and ESS forefoot Snake Plate stabilize your feet and protect from bruising and pronation.

Bottom Line: Charge through the crappiest weather in the Fire Road.

It took only 3 weeks of disc golf on these shoes before both toes were tearing out. the rubber started coming off the shoe in 2 weeks so i super glued them didnt hold up. They keep tearing. I Have to glue them once a week. There no longer waterproof due to this. Now i have to look for another shoe.

I wear a size 12 dress shoe and in most ALL cases a 13 in any

I wear a size 12 dress shoe and in most ALL cases a 13 in any type of athletic shoe, running shoe, hiking boot, etc. My last pair of TNF shoes were a size 13 (Ultra 103 XCR) Then, it seemed TNF was all over the map in sizing. I purchased a pair of TNF's "new" Chinscrapers, and a size 14 was not wide enough in the toe box. I would say I have a med. - wide toe box, and medium arches.

Sizing

I often wear mens running shoes, purchased these in size 7.5 as I so all the others..unfortunately for me they run a bit large and wide. I wear a pair of happyfeet insoles and another gel insole in them but they tire my feet from insoles..I live in canada and can't be bothered to return them...otherwise cool looking and so far very waterproof.
