The North Face Snowkat II Winter Clog - Men's

Keep your feet warm and under you when you wear The North Face Men's Snowkat II Winter Clog. WinterGrip soles use soft, tacky rubber lugs that grip the wet and slippery alike, giving you ultimate traction in ice-rink conditions. The North Face built these clogs with waterproof nubuck leather, sealed seams, and Primaloft Eco recycled insulation to make sure your feet stay warm and dry when the elements around you aren't. Four-way stretch Lycra makes getting in and out a cinch, and a Northotic footbed gives you support and comfort.

Bottom Line: Walkin' in a winter wonderland just got a whole lot easier.

Pretty nice in the snow and unquestionably waterproof. Great tread for snow. Working at a ski resort, it is great to have a pair of indoor shoes that can easily slip outside. Pretty warm although I wouldn't want to be outside in them for too long in sub-20 degree weather. 7 months of use and the sole is starting to separate from the shoe, but still waterproof and I wore them almost every day.

Need to clarify

Just by spite I happened to give these another shot after I initially sent my first pair back and to my conclusion the second pair is now my favorite slip-on waterproof winter clog/mock I own. It is comfortable, light and the warmest of the bunch.

Initially, the First pair I had was so narrow in the right foot I couldn't stand it! They hurt so much, It was terrible...so I wrote my first review based on that and returned the pair. And the elastic tongue (opening were you slip your foot in) was so incredible tight I had them off in less then 3 minutes. So, while visited one of my local outfitter who also sells them and decided to try them on once again just in case...and to my surprise they fit and were nearly perfect!! They still need some breaking in around the tongue...for that is very tight at first but will loosen up and what you have is an excellent shoe. I wish I could retract my initial review and offer this as the real one. I am extremely happy with these clog/mocks...they are comfortable and warm yet wear like a gym shoe. I wear them alot! Glad I gave them a second chance! Only gripe now is they are a little harder to slip on then the Keen Whistlers...those are just hop in and good. I do wear those alot just not when it is below 25 and I will be outside for a while.

Great shoe ! a little tight in the beginning but will loosen up to fit. The size is one size bigger than i usually take. ie I am a 10 but took an 11. I bought a second pair. That's how much i like them.

Nice Shoe but didnt fit right

By:

The shoes seemed like great quality and the tread on the bottom was good for grip but the fit was very tight. I typically wear a size 9 and the 9 that i purchased was the correct length but the tongue area was so tight on the top of my foot it caused it to go numb.

Real Deal

Awesome shoe! Great for walking on the snowy roads and nice enough to wear for work as well. This is my second pair and their sturdy, waterproof, and warm. Great replacement for my normal walking shoes when the weather requires more traction and warmth. No need for big winter boots, this shoe is the real deal.

Great shoe for what it's supposed to do...

Keep out the snow that is... at first you'll swear these things are too small and have to stretch into them, but after you break them in you'll be thankful you bought 'em, especially considering how good they look. Great alternative for those who need something in-between big clunky snow boots and the casual shoe!

Too Narrow! Otherwise they would have been perfect!

Let's start off with the same thing I said in my other reviews of the Slip-on Snow Clogs in this class.

I have owned several different Snow Clogs. Mostly because I could never find exactly one that fit my criteria. I was looking for something that was causal, warm, waterproof and a slip-on. I live in Chicago and as of the last two years the winter weather has gotten colder and we are getting more snow than ever. I need to find a Clog that would work good in the snow, keep my feet dry and warm enough for the zero degree days and the last criteria was to be able to wear during the day in the office with a pair of Khaki pants. So big boots were out!

I currently have 3 pairs of different slip-on winter mocs, Keen Whistlers, Merrell Shiver Moc, and these Salomon Snowclogs. They are all Waterproof, insulated, have snow traction Soles, and of course a slip-on style...I love slip-ons.

I sent them back...they could have been my favorite had they been wider. They were warm (warmer than the other 3 and along the same warmth of the Snowclog 3)...waterproof but way too narrow and tight...I was uncomfortable within minutes and I tried two size...same problem! The Sole isn't as snow friendly (Compared to the Whistler, Snowclog, and the Shiver) but still great! They are more like a slip-on gym shoe style than a moc or clog. They were harder to slip on than all the other ones. If I would have kept them maybe they would have loosen up or stretched out but I couldnt take that chance. If TNF redesigns these to be wider this could be one of the best and nearly meeting all my criteria. Plus TNF has great service and a Lifetime warranty!!!! Maybe next year they will get it right.
