The North Face Elkhorn Bx Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Synthetic

Are you seeking affordable, cozy backcountry lodging for your winter camping trips? Seek no more, for you've found The North Face Elkhorn Bx 0 Degree Sleeping Bag. If you take an occasional night in the mountains or snowy plains every winter, justifying the enormous cost of a sub-zero-rated sleeping bag can be tough. Not to mention that you'll spontaneously combust trying to doze in anything other than a deep freeze. So save your dough and pick up the Elkhorn—with its durable Heatshield synthetic insulation, overlapping shingle construction, and tough Enduralite polyester shell, it's also the perfect bag for an overnight car bivy in the Peruvian Lodge lot.

Bottom Line: Get first tracks tomorrow—sleep liftside in The North Face Elkhorn Bx.

Great!

Bought my Elkhorn in Jan 2008 and used it in a camping trip at Lac La Biche Alberta Canada. Temps dipped into the -25 Celsius -13 Fahrenheit and I was toasty warm. I did use a fleece bag liner made by Mountain Equipment Co-op which i purchased for $40 cdn. I would recommend using a liner as the inside of the bag is a poly type material and would be pretty cold to first crawl into. Other than that this is a great winter bag for casual use especially for the price compacts well and is lightweight.

It was 75 out in a four season tent with one other person with a 0 degree bag. I slept on the bag, but I love it! It's gonna be great for the snowy trips.

You can never go wrong with The North face gear. This sleeping bag so warm and comfortable. It's so warm you don't want to get out of bed in the cold mornings. The lining is so comfortable on your skin. You actually get really hot if you zip two bags together
