How does this tent perform under winds, say 45 psf?

if i remember right that would be about 50 MPH and i would not recomend that. if you guy it out really well you might be ok with a steady one directional wind but really i wouldnt go above like 30 MPH and feel all that comfortable.

Is the partial fly a drawback under heavy rain conditions?

I'm wondering if it is nicely appointed inside with pockets or dropper loops for storing small gear items or hanging a flashlight or clothesline?

The mesh is a no see um mesh.
under heavy rain it will be a drawback a huge drawback if its a little windy.
As far as pockets i dont know but i would be more suprised if there wasnt then if there was. so im about 90% sure it does.

Yes, and Yes to your questions. The mesh will keep out no see-ums' I have not used it in a high wind w/rain senario....yet, but I've stayed dry with the rain fly on. With out the fly, you're wide open to rain as the entire roof is mesh. There are pockets in the tent, sufficent for basic needs and there is a loft available for this tent as well. Very nice, is worth every dollar I've spent on it....saw your reply as I logged in to buy the footprint....I would strongly recommend getting the footprint for this (as well as any NF tent.)

OK, Bought this tent for use on my non-hiking scout campouts. Absolutely love it. Although I've yet to use it in the peak of the Florida summer, I've had no problems what-so-ever with this tent. Best of all, I can stand straight up inside, and it's big enough for my queen size air mattress (like I said...for non-hiking trips) for those occasional moments when my wive agrees to go camping with me. Was fairly easy to asseemble, was able to do completely on my own. Rain-fly system adequately covers the entirely mesh roof and helps in providing for air flow in the tent. Would strongly recommend getting the footprint that is provided by North Face, will be make the most out of this tent and greatly prolong the lifetime of the tent.

I'm concerned about the poles breaking on this tent. What kind of warranty does North Face offer? Also should I be worried about the poles and the Fuzion Pitch system?

North Face offers a lifetime warranty, which covers any manufacturing defect but does not cover such things as running over your poles, 'sword' fights, or using them to pole vault. They also do not cover normal wear, accidents, etc. In other words, so long as the tent is used in the fashion a tent should be used, is properly maintained, and appropriate care is taken (e.g no sharp objects on the fabric), the tent should work as designed.

And "Fusion" is just a fancy marketing term for the clip & sleeve pitch type, so you have both instead of just one. Nothing to worry about.

Probably not very, manufacturers usually don't make the interior wall of a double wall tent out of ripstop. And in case you didn't notice while shopping around, $200 is really cheap for a tent. Only 40 of the 226 tents on this site are under 200 bucks.

We have used the tent only once but it was extremely easy to set up and take down. All tent corners are reinforced and everything seems to be pretty burly. As expected the tent is really for about four adults with room for gear.

The fly for the Foundation 6 we have received is not as pictured

The fly for the Foundation 6 we have received is not as pictured on the web site. We have the tent up but how can we have the fly in place but in nice weather not have it all fastened down? There is only one zipper in each end as opposed to two shown which would enable the center of the fly to be rolled up. Help or we're returning the tent.

It can but you have to get the poles seperately. Its not designed for that but it would work.....I've done it.
