The North Face Roadrunner 23 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

With two vestibules and extra headroom, The North Face Roadrunner 23 Tent keeps you and your buddy comfortable on your fall, spring and summer camping adventures. Mesh panels on the top of this three-season tent's canopy and around its lower perimeter create fresh air circulation, and two doors make it easier to answer those middle-of-the-night calls of nature. Slip the Featherlite poles through The North Face's continuous pole sleeves, and quickly attach the color-coded silicon flysheet to the tent canopy. Stay warm and dry as you check the weather through the durable polyurethane window. The Roadrunner 23 Tent's fly-only pitching option lets you pack light, or bring more and set up a quick shelter should stormy weather move in.

Bottom Line: Get a good night's sleep in The North Face two-person Roadrunner 23 Tent, then zip by the other hikers the next morning. Beep beep.

Versatile

I have the 2002 model but everything remains the same minus the continuous pole sleeves - though they have managed to drop the weight by 500g. I use this tent as a four-season and have never had any problems with snow loads - even after more than a foot overnight as everything slides off well. Double vestibules work great for two people as you can keep all their gear separate and dry without bringing it in the tent and without crawling over each other. Other than my bivi sac, this is the only tent I ever use.

Is the 66oz (4lbs2oz) weight the real deal? I checked TNF website and there was no info for this tent's weight. Rei and another website have the min weight at 4lbs13oz. Can anybody confirm which is right?

Great Tent

Love this tent. I have used on several summer outings and the tent has held up in some torrential down pours. I also have used this tent on several trips to Germany in October and the tent provided plenty of warmth and plenty of ventilation. I would recommend this tent to anyone looking for a great light weight backpacking tent. Also recommend using the footprint with the tent if you expect rain.
