The North Face Sacred Cliff Short - Men's - 2008
Bouldering on Saturday, hiking on Sunday. The North Face Men's Sacred Cliff Shorts are ready. The North Face mixed nylon and stretchy elastane to make the Sacred Cliff Shorts durable and comfortable for climbing moves and long summer hikes. A gusseted crotch adds mobility to the Sacred Cliff Shorts, while two front hand pockets hold trail directions and energy gel.
Bottom Line: The North Face Sacred Cliff Shorts are game whether you're hiking up to the cliff or working a route below it.

The inseam is only 12" but I have to agree with you, this picture makes them look longer than that.

This is a bouldering/climbing pant, and does have plenty of room.

I have worn these shorts on some long and rough terrain hikes in the Missouri Ozarks. What a relief, shorts that don't hold me back and really go with the flow. Plus very comfortable and light weight. I am very pleased with their performance.
