The North Face K Jacket - Women's

While The North Face designers were busy giving the Women's K Jacket around-town style, they decided to add fully seam-taped, waterproof breathable HyVent fabric for rain protection. I have vintage white and it is much paler than the yellowy-white color of an office file folder--but in the same family. Nice color. The one I got doesnt seem tan at all.

Very happy I bought this jacket.
So far its repelled the city wind and rain.
The pockets are only a little small but I love them--they lie flat--they're not made of velcro/mesh so they dont catch on clothes and keys--and there are five, YES FIVE of them.
The tidy way the hood comes off/on is wonderful. The hood itself is a little odd. Its very deep and theres no way to shorten it. If youve got somethign on your head or a ponytail its no problem. But if you have a little head, the hood will come right over your face.
This jacket is shorter from shoulder to waist (Yay!) than other NF jackets I've tried. It also seems slimmer through the bust and hips. I'm 5'2" and I have a medium. The small wouldnt zip over my hips even though Im a size small according to the chart. So....if you think you're a little hippy, consider sizing up. (Even though I have a medium, I still tend to unzip the coat at the bottom when I'm sitting for a while.) PS -The K jacket seems to have a very different fit than the NF Grace.

I love this jacket and got so many compliments. I juggled between the small and the medium, I'm 5'3" 113lbs. I finally decided upon the Small because it was a bit more flattering on me. I like how you can zip up on the bottom in case it's too snug when sitting.

I've been wearing this jacket almost every day since I got. It looks good over almost any outfit. It's fitted, but I can still wear a light sweater underneath the jacket to keep warm in the cool spring morning when I'm taking my son to school.

My brother's girlfriend owns this jacket, and she wears it on trips to places like Seattle in winter and around LA during the rainy season when it gets down into the 40's. It's not just a shell, but I don't think it's warm enough for a "real" winter. BTW, it's a great looking coat - I've been planning on buying one when they go on sale...someday soon hopefully.
