The North Face Resolve Jacket - Women's
The North Face Resolve Jacket uses a lightweight mesh lining to keep it from feeling clammy, even in an absolute downpour. The waterproof breathable HyVent DT shell easily withstands the most horrendous rain you encounter on the trail, and it lets water vapor escape so you don't end up drowning in your own sweat. The North Face used a fully adjustable hood to round out the Resolve Rain Jacket's features and ensure you stay bone-dry even in nasty weather.
Bottom Line: Stop worrying about the rain. You have The North Face Resolve Jacket to keep you dry if the weather turns bad.

I was deciding whether to purchase this jacket versus several other more stylish and more expensive jackets. I chose this jacket because it was a bit more affordable and am happy with the results. I didn't want to spend more than $100 for a jacket that I wouldn't wear that much, but it does it's job. I like the color and fit.

My Kelpie Green jacket just arrived. I love the color. My only complaint with this jacket is that the wristbands are a little snug. I bought this jacket as a cheaper replacement to my North Face Venture jacket that I lost last summer. This jacket is nice, but I wish I spent the little bit extra and got the Venture which had adjustable wrists and was slightly longer.

This jacket is not as tailored/fitted as it appears in the image. I got a size small and it is huge on me.

I'm about to use this jacket on a month long trip to Europe. I have worn it around NYC the few weeks I've had it and it's been wonderful in the rain. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I'm 5'11 and it hits just a little shorter than I wished. It's not really their fault I'm an amazon, but I would really like if this came in the parka length. The price difference between this jacket and the other parka was just too much to warrant.

The jacket itself is great; my critiques of it are more cosmetic...it is lightweight and lends itself well to layering, so it can work in any season, and it does breathe well, as well as being waterproof. The hood is annoying because it doesn't stay up on its own in windy weather, and contrary to what another reviewer said elsewhere, I don't think it's necessary to buy a size up--I did, and it looks too baggy on me, so I wish I'd gone with my normal size. It's still a really great rain jacket and overall I'm happy with my purchase!

A reviewer on another site (not here) recommended buying a size up, and I thought since I'd want it for layering purposes in colder weather, as well as wearing it alone in warmer weather, I'd follow that; however, I think I would have been fine with my normal size, even after layering. I'm just affirming what another reviewer here said: no need to size up!

This jacket was light weight, packable, and waterproof. It is perfect for those summer rains when it is hot out but you don't want to get soaked. This is not a jacket meant to keep you warm but will keep you very dry and cool in a rainy spring and summer.

My husband bought me this jacket--It was exactly what I was looking for. After a lot of searching online and in stores, the price is unbeatable and the stores we went to did not have this style (all black and waterproof with a hood.)
It's lightweight and it looks good. It really is the perfect jacket for so many different occasions.

This is a great all weather jacket; it is light, durable, and blocks wind along with rain well. I bought it for a trip to the EU and it worked out perfectly...it is roomy enough to put over another coat for when it is really cold and wet! I highly reccomend!

This jacket is awesome. I especially love it since I can stow away the hood. Definitely worth buying for everyday use.

Help! I measure 46 -41-46 can I order an XL? I did try one on in the store in black and it was ok over a fleece which I need. I think the Northface Resolve jacket would work for me. but I need to hear from you.

Can the hood be removed (zipped off) or can it be zipped inside the collar?
Flag
The hood can't be removed. You can fold it up into the collar and velcro it.

Perfect lighweight rain jacket for a day trek or just around the town. So comfy. Keep in mind North Face sizes run a little big. Very satisfied with this jacket!

This is what rain jackets are suppose to be like. The cuffs (elastic) keep out the rain. I went for a run the other day in a downpour to really test it out...remained fry--except for my legs. Even had my cellphone in one of the pockets. Definitely worth the price.

What are the cuffs like? Adjustable, or just that elastic style?

This is a great lightweight waterproof jacket, and very stylish too! I have the Kelly Green color and it goes with everything! Great for hiking in misty wet weather or just walking around New York city in the rain! However, it is not a cold-weather coat, more for tropical/spring rain than winter. Can't wait to wear it on my trip around the world!

I really like my jacket. It is so versatile, I live in MD and the weather is ever changing. The jacket has a nice hood with a fleece collar, nice pockets and it comes down below the waist.

How long is the jacket? Does it go below the waist?
Flag
The jacket I have for work (bought in 2005) falls at my hips, but I'm short (5'1"). So it may be shorter on you if you are taller. I'm guessing the 2008 resolve jacket has the same measurements.

Is it roomy enough to wear fleese under it?

have a question about the hood,is it one of those that have a peice on front to crop down over ur eyes almost for stopping rain?
Flag
Well, it doesn't have a "bill" on the hood if that is what you mean, but it does come over and forward so that it covers your eyes. It's a bit of a larger hood without being bulky.

I really enjoy my new rain jacket. I got just in time, too. It's been rainy and snowy where i live and it has come in handy!
