The North Face Venture Jacket is a lightweight, waterproof breathable jacket great for trekking and travel use. Keep the Venture Jacket in your pack or suitcase and you'll be ready for an unexpected downpour. Despite being lightweight, the HyVent DT fabric is tough enough to stand up to everyday use. HyVent DT is a highly breathable, waterproof fabric with a raised microdot inner surface that acts to lift the shell fabric away from your skin. This provides a comfortable, soft, easy-sliding feel while maximizing moisture transport away from your skin. The result: you stay drier and warmer. This combination of waterproofing and breathability makes the Venture ideal for keeping the elements out. *Please note: TNF outerwear tends to run a size larger than you might normally wear. This jacket is designed as a straight forward, lightweight, fully waterproof rain jacket so the hood is a fixed design and is not hideable or removable. The really nice feature of the hood is that it not only cinches around the face opening but has a draw string that cinches around your head so when you turn your head side to side the hood moves with you and you don't get lost in your hood.

Can I zip in a Northface fleece liner?

The Venture does not have a second inner zipper for zipping in a liner. It is designed as a lightweight rain jacket and forgoes the second zipper to save weight. You can still easily layer any fleece underneath it to warm things up when it is chilly out.
