The North Face Hedgehog Mid GTX XCR Hiking Shoe - Women's
The North Face made the Women's Hedgehog Mid GTX XCR Hiking Shoe to be as sturdy and stable as a hiking boot but lighter weight and more breathable than hikers for agility on the trail. The mid-cut Hedgehog's uppers are abrasion-resistant and breathable, and EVA midsoles and heel air pods absorb shock and provide rebound so you can go longer. A TPU shank protects your foot from stones but won't weigh you down or compromise responsiveness. The Gore-Tex XCR membrane doesn't let water in, so you can go straight through the stream instead of hopping awkwardly across on boulders.
Bottom Line: Adventure racers, speed hikers, and those who just want a versatile shoe for hiking and trail running will appreciate the mid-cut Hedgehog.
I normally wear a size 8 1/2 shoe or sandal.Live in sandals. Confused on whether to get the 8 1/2 or 9. The 9 is definitely roomier but do you really need the extra room? Will they give a little? **does the refund policy apply if you purchase from a store
Hi, I just got these boots in the mail today. I too normally wear an 8 1/2 shoe, but I always buy a 9 for running shoes, so I bought a 9 for the boots. I'm glad I did. Once I put on hiking socks and allow for some swelling, the 9 will feel more comfortable. (I have a wide foot, so I like the extra wiggle room.)
