Great and lightweight.

I live in this vest. I found it to be really flattering and really light weight. I don't think it will stay in the rotation once it gets really cold but it is perfect for Fall. LOVE it. The black is easy to dress up too.

I was looking for a softshell, which this is. But it's more just the shell part, not even a little bit lined or fleecy on the inside. It's extremely lightweight - that means thin too. The material feels a little cheap, almost like tyvek. I was looking for something heavier. I think it would be good for high-intensity activities but not much use on it's own.

I ordered this vest specifically for trail running during autumn/winter - and it's perfect. Nice little inside pocket for my iPod, and plenty of room for polyprop or even a fleece underneath. I would warn on sizing though - I went with large as I am quite big busted but probably could have gone a size down for a snugger fit.

HORRIBLE FIT: Short & bulky!!!!

I'm a The North Face fanatic, but I was very disappointed w/ the fit of this product. It was VERY short and really bulky. Not flattering at all! Had to return it...

At first I was disappointed that the vest wasn't fleece, as I expected. It was a pleasant surprise to find that it's comfortable, quite form-fitting for warmth and added style, and, all in all, a great garment for hiking, as well as for layering for skiing and colder weather.
