The North Face Horizon Cargo Short - Women's
Wear The North Face Women's Horizon Cargo Short for your late-spring backpacking trip in Utah's canyonlands. These nylon shorts are abrasion-resistant, so they hold up better than your legs when you push through willows and tamarisk. Should you decide to take a swim or need to cross a river with your pack on, these shorts dry quickly so you can continue your hike without feeling soggy. The Horizon's cargo pockets hold snacks and your GPS.
Bottom Line: Zip up your The North Face Horizon Cargo Shorts, and get off the beaten path.

Waist Issues

Shorts waistline runs large. Adjustments are made via flat drawcord, which you knot. The resulting fabric "gathering" bulk leaves a rather unflattering effect. During my recent bp trip, the knots both slipped through the provided hole- so make a large knot! On a more positive note, great fabric and pockets. No irritating fabric "rub" on thighs, even during rain.

I bought these last year and wore them to death! They actually still have sone life left for this season as they have not faded, frayed, or shrunk! The quality and workmanship are excellent and I was very pleased
I see they are on sale now and will have to order many more! As far as the size, I wear a size four pant so I ordered the small (4-6) with the short inseam and they were perfect. No bunching at the waist, the cord stayed in place. No complaints from me. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
This product comes in regular 5 inches and long 7 inches for
This product comes in regular 5 inches and long 7 inches for the inseam. When you go to select the size it doesn't give me the option to choose short or long? How can i get ther longer inseam? Thanks

Lite Short, poor waist

The material for this short is excellent - quick drying and light, as advertised. Well constructed as expected from TNF. But the waist is not functional - the final fit is with a tie cord, which makes for poor fit, and isn't functional enough for the uses this short ought to work, such as wearing with a daypack or backpack. Nice pockets, though.

I like them--would probably even buy another pair. The fabric doesn't bunch up, plenty of pocket space--great for hiking and any other activities, also look nice enough to wear into town.

I like the velcro closures on the side pockets of these North Face shorts. They keep things from falling out without being difficult to get into. The material feels great and the shorts dry quickly. I'm not a fan of the drawstring but the shorts fit me without using it.
