The North Face Ultra 104 GTX XCR Trail Running Shoe - Women's
So the trail has more boulder fields than flat spots, and it's been raining for three days straight. So what? You have The North Face Women's Ultra 104 GTX XCR Trail Running Shoe. The durable synthetic upper and TPU toe cap protect your foot from rocks and roots while a beefy UltrATAC outsole provides excellent traction in the sketchy terrain. The North Face used a waterproof breathable Gore-Tex XCR insert to keep the Ultra 104 shoe bone dry on the inside even when it's completely muddy on the outside.
Bottom Line: The North Face Ultra 104 GTX XCR Trail Running Shoe loves to spend time in wet, rugged terrain.

These shoes are incredible. I started out by doing a short 3 mile trail run in them and then tried them on a rigorous 13-mile uphill trek in very different, rugged terrain. They were awesome for absorbing shock, including no blisters and stayed dry in some snowy parts of the trail. Even with the gore-tex they breathe very well in 80-90 degree weather. The one thing I would be careful with is they are a little snug, so if your feet tend to swell when running or hiking, you may want to go for a 1/2 size bigger.

Hi,I bought these shoes because of the gortex but was wondering if they were warm too. I had ecco shoes that were similar and they were super warm but they don't make them anymore.

I think these shoes would be just fine depending on where you're running. I'm in Utah and using another gore tex shoe that's very comparable and they are great.... no hot spots and the feet stay pretty moderate. As an alternative try the La Sportiva Ultra Nord.Hope that helps.

I have these in a 5.5. They do run true to size..for me. I'm usually between a 5-6..so this is right on. Very lightweight, waterproof, comfy..supportive . All around great trail runner! Always have been a fan of TNF shoes!
