The North Face XTC Expedition 1/4 Zip - Men's - 2007
The North Face Men's XTC Expedition ¼ Zip Top gives you heavyweight insulation with a bamboo-charcoal treated polyester fabric for decreased odor retention. Just imagine how great it will be to not smell like you've been in the mountains for a week, even if you have. The North Face included a ¼-length zipper to help you cool off during tough ascents and a high neck line to hold in the warmth in frigid weather.
Bottom Line: The North Face XTC Expedition ¼ Zip Top keeps you toasty while it fights odors.

I recently went boarding in Whistler/Blackcomb. On one of the days, I decided to go with just this shirt and my boarding jacket. It was maybe 10 degrees F at the top of the mountain. That's without a windchill, and not on the lift. It does everything it claims! The only time I was a little chilly was on the lift. And if you've been to Whistler, you know how long the ride can be in the open lifts. And like I said, that was the only piece between me and my jacket. The pants were warmer yet. I left my inner thigh vents open on my pants going down the mountain. This set is the BEST! Can't say enough about them.
Is this product too warm to wear in the spring alone?

No, this thing can pretty much be worn anytime of year. I love mine and have actually bought 2 more of them. I wear them jogging in spring, under my ski coat on the slopes, to the office on a cool day, they are great

Excellent but...

Garment is enough thicker than the midweight, which I also own, that I really think I should have gone-up one size.
Otherwise, an excellent and warm first layer. And it really does put the brakes on odor.
Great shirt

Both tight and shirt of Expedition series keep their promises!
Very warm and comfortable, and must confirm it doesn't smell at all, even after day 6! :-0
This is the best quality you can get for a very reasonable price!
