The North Face Flash Summit Series Down Jacket - Women's
The North Face Women's Flash Down Jacket packs the high-loft insulation you need to stay toasty at the ice climbing belay station. Incredibly warm 850-fill down provides cozy insulation without making the Flash Jacket too puffy, so you can wear it as a mid layer when belaying, hiking, or skiing in cold, wet weather. A unique baffle stitching pattern keeps the Flash Down from looking boxy, and a polyester lining feels soft all winter long. The Flash Down Jacket weights a mere 12oz and packs into its left hand pocket.
Bottom Line: Get warm in a flash.

I bought this for my girlfriend and she will not take it off. She is 5'2" and pretty little, I got her a XS and it fits great. She loves it.

This jacket is both warm and slimming. I didn't want the Michelin Man look and this jacket astounded me! It was everything I wanted and more. I have even washed it in a washing machine and it has lost none of its loft, warmth or shape.

How windproof/waterproof is it? will it stand up well to new hampshire winters? i want a coat that will double well as a ski jacket and as source of warmth walking around a college campus...is this for me?

it's good for boston--and the blizzards there. if you layer well underneath it will be perfect!

This jacket achieves all the warmth and more of a traditional down jacket without all the bulk. It has great breath ability and holds up well for beading water off in light rain/heavy fog. Style and function make this a great jacket. The fit is not as boxy as some of the other North Face jackets and has a fitted cut to it but fits true to size.

LOVED this coat! Great color (I'm biased, it's my favorite). And, it's so lightweight and comfortable. The only problem I noticed is that it seems to be a little small along the bottom. I liked the fact that you could pack it down so easily. Unfortunately it arrived too late for my trip.

i love this coat, it is really warm. i am usually a small but i got an extra small and i can still wear a thick layer underneath it. it is also a great coat for wearing under a shell because it is not too puffy.

I'm very glad I got this jacket - I needed something very warm for running errands and just running around the neighborhood. This is very lightweight, non-bulky, and warm, and I haven't had any problems with down loss (just a few feathers here and then when new). This jacket is expensive, but well worth it.

I got this jacket on sale. Loved the fact that it wasn't bit and bulky. However didn't like the fact that the feathers were coming out all the time. It was also cold in the Minnesota winter. Not windproof. I ended up sending it back. I'd buy another if they used different material for the jacket so it wouldn't loose the feathers.

The jacket is gorgeous and very lightweight but I was disappointed in the fit. It really looks great in person, I was so excited when I got it but I had assumed from the photo it would have a slightly fitted or feminine shape and that was not the case for me. Since I'm an athletic/narrow framed 5'6'' (125 lbs, size 0 or 2) I ordered an XS. The shoulders fit nicely but it was really wide through the mid section, almost a bell shape and to add to the unflattering lines it barely hit at my hips - my lower back would completely stick out ifI biked to campus in it. Weirdly, it was also too roomy in the upper arms - as a former gymnast and pole vaulter who lifts weights frequently I normally never have that problem! That said: it is a gorgeous jacket and I'm envious of those who can wear it, I'm thinking it would look better on women with more feminine or hour-glass like figures than myself.

This jacket is very lightweight and unexpectedly warm. It is really soft and nice to the touch. I wore this on a dog sledding trip and it breathed very well and kept me warm at nights. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

I love my flash jacket and frequently receive compliments. Very lightweight--I have taken it backpacking for cold nights and have traveled with it as well. One complaint is that the feathers have been coming out periodically and I am afraid I am losing loftiness. Also the feathers can stick your arms if wearing short sleeves underneath. All in all a very nice jacket and it keeps me warm.

I knew a 800fill jacket would be warm, but this is unbelievable. I do not drive and use public transportation to travel to/from work as well as shopping, movies and go into New York City. The first time i wore the jacket i had too many clothes on and was actually cold. I reduce the layers and found the jacket breathes better that way. Today was our coldest day yet for the fall, wind chill in low 30s. Black Friday shopping I left the house in a thin tshirt and was warm and toasty...........THE BEST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE.

I got this jacket and can't wear it more this spring and winter! It is very cute and every time I wear it, I get at least one compliment. One guy hounded me to tell him where I bought it because he "had to buy one" for his wife. I stayed really warm in New York (where it was unseasonably cold in April) and stayed warm the whole time. It fits the body well and makes all girls look great! Great jacket!
