The North Face Nuptse Down Jacket - Men's

I found the best deal here. Service was excellent and the product was outstanding. This is my second North Face jacket. The first one went with me to Alaska many back in the 1970s. I'm taking this one to China for the winter. There is nothing that is warmer, lighter and feels better in cold weather than a North Face down jacket!

I love the warmth of the jacket :) worked great up in the alpine region of Washington with the temps hitting just above freezing. I haven't had the ability to push the jacket further but it will be a while before winter comes again. Thanks also to this site for pushing my order out fast with overnight so I could receive it the next day :) Will do business again! Oh and the fit is great, I normally get Large jackets, fleeces, Soft shells, and its great.

Forget fleece, this works well from 25 - 60 degrees. Packs small, quarter space & weight of fleece. Like fleece it is not water or wind proof, still need a rain shell. Just can't beat some classics.

this is a fab jacket, super warm, light and doesn't make you look too much like a linebacker!!!! I live in colorado and after this winter 07/08 it's been a life saver, and it stows in the inside pocket so great for travel too, I'd recommend this to anyone.

Very warm and more than warm, comfortable. The padding is good and you can still move around quite well. I can't wait for the next winter.

I had this jacket several years ago when it first came out and purchased about 4 or 5 different north face jackets since. This has been the warmest one I have owned and really stands up to the new england weather. Only downfall from both Nuptse jackets I have had is that, even right out of the box, they start to shed the down feathers.

Great jacket, very warm, blocks the wind, great color (red, more subtle than the image portrays). I live in SD and it's my go-to jacket for cold weather! A little poofy but it's supposed to be.

I bought this jacket for a winter trip back to the UK, Usually I would use a rain jacket as typically it's wetter than colder back across the pond. I was glad I picked up the Nuptse jacket as the temp was below zero the moment I stepped out of the terminal, that factored in with the 20 - 30 MPH winds made me think of a chilly wait for the transportation to the rental car. Fear not, this jacket actually kept me not only warm but I had to crack the zipper open to vent some heat. You feel a bit like a blimp with the down but it's well worth if for the warnth this jacket keeps in. I like this jacket so much I bought the sleeveless version for thoise times when you just need to keep your inner core warm.

Another great North Face product! I shouldn't have waited so long to get it, I started with a the 550 down fill jacket & vest. This has a lot more down loft & is super warm!! I will probably get another color!

I just got back from spending a week in the Rockies, and had a blast on the slopes and the trails. I spent all day out in the elements and the nights back in town. While there the temp dropped to -2 degrees with a wind chill of -45 degrees and dumped 8" of snow. I only wore lightweight under armer, a lightweight shirt, and the jacket. I got HOT while hiking, and stayed very warm on the slopes. I just wish I had bought better boots, as my toes were the only things that got cold. The jacket is PERFECT, and I will buy another when the time comes.

we were happy with the jacket, however we needed a larger size...for our 14 year old boy, the kids XL was too short/small...so we got the mens small...and he loves it ....

My goodness! I like to call this my "portable sleeping bag." This keeps me very very toasty even in single digit weather with just a t-shirt underneath. Highly recommend.

This is the first The North Face product I have owned. Very warm; where I live, it gets below 0 a lot, and it keeps me warm and comfortable, has good freedom of movement, and is lightweight I am 6'3, this coat has plenty of length in the torso unlike some of the others I have tried. I would recommend it

The jacket is light and warm. The picture shows adder brown being red,but it is brown. The jacket seems to compact to a small package. We will see how it works in two days on Mt. Hood.

This is a superb jacket to be used in conjunction with waterproof/goretex gear. It is ideal for the Pacific Northwest where really severe cold is rare, but a down sweater is very useful. It is a great jacket for using in the mountains and stylish enough to wear in town.

outstanding coat, waterproof, and very light, also wind proof, I had many down coats but this one is the best. you will sweat in it if you want.

I like the jacket, but should put the inner pocket higher up on the inside on the left side.

Classic must have for backcountry. Compresses to size of a muffin, warms like an oven.

Used my new Nuptse jacket on a snow shoe trip on Maligne Lake, after camp was set for the night and we were making supper and it was cooling off -18 slipped on my Nuptse and it was instant warmth. Packs away small, great color, " crimson". Will get years of service.

So warm and soft and oh so perfect!

I purchased a Men's Nuptse jacket, by The North Face, about a month ago. I use it for work, which is teaching riding lessons, in the North East. I work in an enclosed metal barn, which is not heated, for 8 hours a day. I have not been cold for the entire time than I have had my jacket. This is a fantastic product. I wear a turtleneck and a wool sweater, and this jacket, and I am warm and comfortable. No feather loss after two washings.

I think the North face Nuptse jacket is perfect for the cold bitter conditIons. i never get cold in it, and really don't have any complaints. I recomMend this to anyone looking for a great jacket to keep you warm.

Excelllent cold weather warmth. Nice technical features such as hem draw, cuff adjustment, etc. Well priced. My only concern at this piont is I already have some feathers coming out. Not alot just a couple here and there. I just have very high expectations when it comes to The North Face. Overall though a good product fit for hiking and hitting the town.

I am satisfied with the performance of this jacket. It will keep me warm when the mercury drops below zero. It also zips into The North Face shell jackets, but this becomes a bulky combination. Bottom line, the warmth to weight ratio is excellent.
