The North Face Apex Randonee Pant - Men's - 2007
When you're out on ski tours and alpine climbs, you need lightweight, stretchy, weather-proof pants. Thanks to welded seams, The North Face Men's Apex Randonee Pants fit the bill. Welded seams improve flexibility of the fabric while cutting down on weight and bulk. The Apex Randonee Pants' adjustable suspenders keep these softshell pants in place, and the breathable Apex Aerobic lower-back fabric keeps wetness out during wipeouts. Calf-length zippers on The North Face Apex Randonee Pants make it easy to pull on your AT or telemark boots, and gaiters block snow as you snorkel through the backcountry.
Bottom Line: Thanks to Magic Seam weld technology, The North Face Apex Randonee Pants keep you unbelievably comfortable in the backcountry.

Great for winter activities

I've used these pants for 2 winter seasons hiking and clinbing the Catskills and Adirondacks--They are outstanding--They shed snow and I have never wetted through--even when butt-sliding. I've worn them w/o long underwear down to 0 degrees and my legs stay warm. They breathe well and I never feel sweaty on warmer days. They are super comfy and fit great. I bought 2 prs but have only worn one so far and it has no signs of wear after at least 50-60 hiking days the past 2 winters, except for a couple crampon holes--but that's my fault!
