The North Face Class V Hat - 2007
The North Face Class V Hat is ready for the deluge. Whether you're kayak touring, fishing, or lounging at the beach, the Class V fits the bill—a floatable bill, that is. It won't save you, but you'll be able to spot your cap floating away if you get dumped. The North Face constructed this hat from durable lightweight nylon with a DWR (Durable Water Resistant) finish, so the Class V Hat won't soak through like cotton. An SPF20 rating keeps scalps from scalding in the summer sun. Its lightweight and quick-drying capabilities make the Class V ideal for hiking and camping, too. Adjustable nylon webbing and an elastic strap ensures that one size fits all.
Bottom Line: Where there's water, wear The North Face Class V Hat.

cool hat

This hat came free with a pair of shoes. I love it so much I just ordered a second one. I wear it playing tennis, running and doing anything that will get me sweaty. It does not absorb sweat, so I can just wear it over and over without it getting disgusting. Also I wear it when I go out in the rain. It gives me a little rain block. I did rip my first one, but as I recall it was from extreme abuse.

I wore this cap for 6 days of camping and fishing - after a rain it dried very quickly; it didn't accumulate sweat like a cotton cap; and it resisted the dirt and grime normally seen on a trip like this.
Not Great

This hat isn't truly one size fits all. It's tight and the head room isn't very forgiving. It also looks cheap on.

This hat is light and comfortable. I've worn it hiking and it's nice to have a hat that doesn't soak up my perspiration. The orange color is very attractive and has the added benefit that hunters will be less likely to shoot me on accident.

This may be the last hat I ever buy. Water-proof, sweat-proof, and great-looking. The back attachment has a durable clasp with elastic to ensure a great fit. I was very pleased with my purchase!
