The North Face Amp Boa Trail Running Shoe - Men's - 2007
Pick up the pace with The North Face Men's Amp Boa Running Shoes. With roll-control and easy-adjust lacing features, these Trail Shoes will kick those inferior running shoes out of your closet. The North Face added a firm heel wedge, mid-foot shank, and forefoot cushioning to restrict pronation and to give you stable support on the trail. This reduces the likelihood of nasty ankle rolls as you navigate around rocks and rabbit holes. If you need to adjust the Amp Shoes, simply bend down and turn the shoe's dial a few clicks to tighten, or press the release button to loosen the Boa Lacing System. As you attack the hills, the Amp Boa Running Shoe's upper mesh material airs out your feet, helping reduce blisters and sweaty-shoe smells. An ultra-lightweight rubber outsole keeps you on your feet as you run over wet leaves on the trail.
Bottom Line: Kick your runs up a notch with The North Face's Amp Boa Running Shoes.

Great trail runner

This is a great shoe for all trail runners. I run the Pine Mountain Trail in Pine Mountain, Ga; a rocky and sloping trail. This shoe stays where I put it on my foot. The lacing system is amazing and allows for quick tightening and release at any time. Also, since I have weak ankles, the added ankle support is a necessity. The laces actually come around the ankle and add even more support. The reason I give it a four out of five is because the Salomon GCS Pro is a better shoe, but it's been discontinued. This is a close second.

These running shoes are in a league of their own. No laces, means you simply push the button on the back and tighten them with a turn. run a mile and tighten them some more. great design, comfy fit!
I have normal/wide feet. Do these run narrow?

Great trail running shoe

My first month of experience with the amp boas have been great. The best part about the Amp Boa is the Boa Lacing System. The Boa stainless steel Lacing System gives me the ability to make minute adjustments and maintain that same tightness for all my runs. This is my first pair of North Face shoes and the quality and durability are superb. I love the large amount of reflective material on the shoes that make running at night safer. I noticed that many of the tread patterns on the other North Face shoes are best used on trails. The Amp Boa has a very versatile tread pattern that I have used on both trail and street runs. The ankle support and anti-roll function is great. The ankle is a bit stiffer than most shoes you will experience. This stiffness took a day or two to get used too and after that, I have loved the safe and secure feel while trail running. If I put on my old running shoes or try on my friends shoes, the ankle support in those feels loose and splashy compared to my amp boas. Overall, I would recommend this shoe to any trail runner.

Unfortunately The North Face Amp Boa Trail Running Shoe didn't fit me comfortably; But I love the customer service from this site, very professional; my number one choice to buy sneakers. Thanks,
If I do not like the fit, can I return it??

It is a nice shoe and the lacing system is sweet and works well. There isn't too much for arch support, but it's a great trail running shoe. I recommend it.
amp boa
the shoe is great, being in the military I put a lot of miles on my shoes on all types of terrain. I have a large tendency to roll my ankles and it hasn't happened since I bought the shoe. I have no complaints and will definitely buy the shoe again. the boa system makes the shoe conform to your feet so there is no wobbling or slipping or sliding inside the shoe. LOVE EM

The shoes are supportive and comfortable. The BOA system appears slick at first. It is easy to use, and can be adjusted comfortably, but there are some problems! Under some critical circumstances with nothing anywhere close to the ratchet wheels, they will pop loose! It has happened 5 or 6 times. They have also popped loose 10 or 12 times catching the edge of the wheel on foreign objects . If you are running through the rocks and the brush be very careful! I have mixed feelings!
