The North Face Allure Jacket - Women's - 2006
The 600-fill down in The North Face Allure Down Jacket holds in heat when the temperature drops while the HyVent fabric wards off snow and sleet. Critically sealed seams and loads of resort-friendly features make this your go-to jacket when you ride the resorts. Detach the hood for warm-weather riding, while core vents help you let off some steam when you charge some laps. A powder skirt prevents snow invasion, and the media pocket helps you keep your favorite tunes pumping. Wear this water-resistant puffy to keep toasty on long lift rides and frigid descents.
Bottom Line: You can't resist the warmth of The North Face Allure Down Jacket.

A perfect jacket!

Warm, stylish, comfortable. I wore this jacket for 4 weeks straight while on a ski trip in Japan recently and loved it! The outer fabric is tough and it still looks like new after off-piste tree skiing, down town Tokyo shopping, busy train stations. Pockets are excellent and accommodated all my bits and pieces - lip balm, money, lift and train tickets, phrasebook, MP3 etc etc. I had heaps of compliments. If you're after an excellent quality down ski jacket you must consider this one by North Face - just perfect!
I hit the jackpot with this one!

I live in the Mts. of Southern Ca. where it can get pretty cold. I don't ski or snowboard I just need to stay warm....and hopefully look pretty good
at the same time. This jacket does it all. I love the color (Maud pink), I love the style of the coat, the fur on
the hood looks great. All in all I don't think I've ever had a coat I've
appreciated more. I've had more compliments on this coat....
I am so satisfied with this purchase!
Like Wearing a Sleeping Bag!

I bought this jacket for cold, snowy ski days. It's nice to not have to deal with so many layers because the insulation is great. --Except you don't get that giant marshmallow bulky feeling at all. The jacket is so comfy and cozy, I've ended up wearing it around town a lot also.

Love this jacket - the hood is completely detachable, material & stitching are durable and pretty :)
I normally wear a Med, ordered a small for perfect fit even with bulky wool sweater. Worn in cold Durango weather with lightweight top underneath & was toasty warm. Snowblowing at night in blizzard - and this was my jacket!! May use skiing tonight at local night spot...
Great down!

This is a great down jacket for most anything. It has tons of ski features that I love. I think North Face stuff runs a little big, especially with a down jacket. I bought a size smaller than normal and it fits great. The only thing I don't like about the jacket is it's not quite as cozy as some other down jackets I've had. It's made for the elements a little more, so it's a little more durable, but it's still comfy enough for around the fire.
My favorite jacket

This coat is cute, stylish and warm. The cut of the jacket is very fitted, so if you want to layer a lot underneath, you may want to go up a size. I had looked at this coat on another site, but they didn't offer the Brownie color. I was on a quest to find a brown TNF for my daughter for Christmas. Hopefully she will love this coat as much as I do! If she doesn't, I just may keep it for myself!
Practical, stylish, and warm!

I had been hunting for a down winter jacket that was practical enough to wear skiing or hiking and stylish/streamlined enough to wear around town. I also wanted something essentially waterproof, because here in northern Michigan we get a wide range of interesting winter weather! I FINALLY found what I needed in this North Face Allure jacket. For me, it's the perfect length (not too short, as people have said other North Face coats are), it's warm, the down hood is very functional, and I've worn it in all conditions, from wet snow to dry cold. It just works. Sizing was normal for me-- I'm a size 4-6 and usually wear small tops, and the small fits perfectly. By the way, the soft lining on the collar in the pockets is a great touch.
