The North Face Triple C Jacket - Women's
The North Face Triple C Jacket is an ankle-length coat that covers your entire body in ultra-warm 700-fill down. If you're tired of getting cold when you go out for the evening, you need the Triple C in your closet. This down jacket comes with serious insulation for frigid city streets and ski towns. Internal security pockets keep your cash and passport close. The North Face insulated this coat's removable hood to provide the most warmth possible. Soft brushed lining in the collar makes you feel like you're in the lap of luxury.
Bottom Line: Don't leave any room for cold to invade with the North Face Triple C.

Hi, my lady is a little more than 6' tall, her measurements are 36x28x38, and she weighs about 165lbs. She knows a lot more about cold weather than I do but I'm trying to make this a surprise that doesn't need to be returned...what size would be the best all around fit for her?
Flag
What is great about this coat is it is long so the length will be fine for her. Go in her closet and look and see what typical size she wears. North face fits a tad large. check out her pant size too. I wear about a size 9-10 in womens pants and north face mediums fit me fine in the hips, I could go small but I have long legs and arms and the arms are too short in a small for me. So for her height you dont' wanna go smaller than a medium. If you get on the live help or call customer service they could get the coat for you and take some measurements, I am sure there is a skinny guy down there who is around 6' tall that can try one on and see the length on it.

This is the best purchase of a coat I have ever made! Had I known years ago how wonderfully warm The North Face Triple C Jacket is, I'd have bought one every year in different lengths. I have the womens Triple 'C' XL ankle length in black & brown, 700-fill. I plan to buy the below the knee length next time around. I'm so.o.o. pleased with this coat!

I like the warmth of the coat. but it is a bit to long I brought a x-large being a size 14 and 5'6 I sometimes trip going up the stairs unless i hold the coat up which takes away the ease of wearing this coat.otherwise it is a great coat

I have been freezing throughout the winters but with this coat, it's all gone. It's sooooo light that I hardly feel that it's on me. And unlike my old winter coats, it blocks most of the wind. I love it. The only improvement I could imagine to have is bigger outside pockets. (And a word about this site: I needed to replace the first coat I got and the customer service was extremely helpful and quick.)

This is by far the warmest jacket ever, and I live in Canada and it is damn cold up here! It is totally worth the money, lightweight, and not bulky looking at all.

Initially, I was going to return the coat. It was so lightweight, I didn't believe it would keep me warm as I walked down NYC's frigid streets. The day after receiving it was our coldest day thus far and was I happy I kept my coat. I love my coat! It is stylin and it keeps me warm. My best purchase of the year.

I love this jacket. I read a review that it was huge so I was more cautious before buying. I'm usually a size 4/6 at stores like J.Crew/Banana Republic and I got and XS. Fits great!! I live in NYC and I've seen other people in the city who have it a little bulky and it's not flattering to the figure. I can wear it with a regular sweater or a hoody and still fits well. It's pretty warm. I'm a nurse. I wear scrubs to work and I wear this jacket on my way to work. We also have dogs who need to be walked. It's an easy gear to put on to cover you pajamas specially when you wear mid/high boots like uggs. Fits me!

As a newcomer to the midwest winters, I was worried about my first time in my new city of Chicago. Since we walk all the time, I wanted a coat that would keep me warm and dry... and came across a WONDERFUL coat, which I have fondly nicknamed my mobile sleeping bag. Backcountry.com was also very helpful in making the selection and completing the purchase. I love my choice and have no regrets with the purchase.

I will never use any other coat. It's so soft and comfortable. I got it in black and it makes everything I wear look stylish. I wear a size 10-12 and I got the coat in Large and it fits perfect. It's so light and very, very warm. You will not be disappointed in this purchase!

I have been looking for a coat that would keep me warm walking my dog throughout the long Montreal winter. I love being able put it on and go out without having to change into layers of long johns, sweaters etc.
What would make it the perfect coat would be a better hood. I also worry about ripping the fabric. For the things the Artic Parka seems ideal.

GET IT! This jacket was pricey since I live in Texas and we don't really have any call for it here, but I went to visit Chicago and bought it just for the trip. Best thing I could have done! Comfy, cozy, cute (as possible) and warm! Made the snow enjoyable and fun! True to size, I thought.

Who would think one would need a full length puffy coat living in Los Angeles? Well, I have received scores of complements from men + women, every time I wear it. The coat is lightweight, super comfortable and works great over a mini-dress + boots.
Thanks North Face!

This is a very nice down coat but the hood didn't provide enough coverage. It would be nice if it had some ruff around, especially for cold climates like ours.
The sizing is perfect. We had to return it because of the hood but this site wasvery good at accepting our returns and payment

If you want to be warm, then do NOT buy this coat - it's wafer thin. You can pinch most of the coat between your fingers and not find a single feather. The pockets of feathers sewn into it don't uniformly fill the coat. It's probably a good coat to wear while walking between Apre Ski clubs at a resort - I mean, it looks nice. But if you "really" want to be warm...............

This is a great long down coat - it's just so warm! I only wish the collar was higher and the hood gave more face coverage (I also wear a the North Face Baltoro parka which has these features). I wore my Triple C last year on a really freezing winter night, thankfully during a joke that went badly wrong: my criminally irresponsible (ex) boyfriend tied me to a tree and left me for two hours- Well, the coat very probably saved my life that night: as it was, I got away with only mild exposure.
That has to be a pretty good testament to the Triple C coat!

I bought this coat for my daughter who is a lighting double on Australia the new Nicole Kidman movie. She has to travel into the outback which can get very cold at night. She is thrilled with the length and the classy style. It does not look like a duvet but is as warm as one. Thanks also for the amazingly fast delivery to Sydney.

For years I have watched more and more people in these The North Face coats and wondered how good they are.
I went ahead and purchased two, one for my daughter and one for myself, tried the coat on and all I can say it's more than I had expected. Looking forward in wearing and staying warm next winter.
Thanks so much for your on time delivery. My daughter was very excited when she received hers.

I love everything about my new winter jacket. My husbands calls it my sleeping bag. It does the job though! The only thing I would comment is the zipper. It gets stuck almost every time when I zip it up to the top. By other than that, it works well.

We don't get the toughest cold weather like you guys in the USA but my husband and I run a Scottish scuba centre in a beautiful spot on the Clyde Coast, West of Scotland and we need really warm wear all year round. We stock some fab makes but not The North Face at the mo. I must say I am really pleased with my triple c jacket although I could probably have got away with a size 10. I am a 34 DD Bust and 27 inch waist , 28/9 waist and 5 ft 5 inches tall so apart from the jacket being a little too large around torso it was super.(arms and under-arms were just right though). The colour is Brownie and I love it. Bye for now.

Great jacket. Extremely warm. Just a few areas that I wasn't very happy about. 1) The hood doesn't give as much coverage on the sides as other jackets do. 2) Sleeves are tapered at the ends which accentuates the puffiness of the sleeves proximally. 3)Pockets are not deep enough. I was running with my keys in the pockets, didn't zip the pockets, and keys fell out. 4) Could use more than one pocket inside.
Ankle-length coverage does make a difference on those really really cold days/nights.

I BOUGHT THIS JACKET JUST AS WE WERE ABOUT TO BE HIT WITH A NOR EASTER IN NYC.
I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I GOT IT.
THE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS AND WITH WIND CHILL FELT LIKE BELOW ZERO!
MY JACKET WAS PERFECT. THE ONLY PART OF MY BODY THAT FELT THE COLD WAS MY FACE.
MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT THE SLEEVES ARE NOT A LITTLE BIT LONGER
GREAT JACKET- I LOVE IT!

It is WARM. I love it! What else is there to say?
I get complements all the time. Another girl in my program has the exact same coat and she loves it too.
I'm 5'3" and the regular length is fine...If I were any shorter though I'd definitely need the short or petite.

I bought this in brown for myself and have been wearing it all winter. It's like wearing a fitted sleeping bag. The sleeves are long enough! Bought it in black for my daughter and she stood outside in rain for 2 hours and was warm as toast. I exchanged mine because of a zipper problem, and backcountry had the second one to me by air before they received the first one. Great company!

I bought this coat because it looked really nice online and had seen many people wearing The North Face brand and heard they are quite warm, comfortable and stylish as well. I was so disappointed in this coat, the outside shell has a fabric that picks up any and I mean any lint, hair, dust etc..making the coat look like a rag you found on the street and as for warmth it was so so not any better than a regular down coat. I returned it. The only great thing that came out of this was dealing with this site, they are truly one of the best sites, excellent customer service, no hassle returns and refunds. I highly recommend shopping with them and I will continue to shop here, just not for any The North Face apparel!

The ideal, if not perfect jacket for use around town. I live in Denver and we've had a brutal winter thus far. Keeps me toasty in sub zero wind chills - yet not too bulky. Covers my whole body. It's like a walking sleeping bag. This jacket is fantastic and I get jealous looks and comments every time I wear it. Worth the money.

I looked for a while for a full length down coat. Even returned one to a well know online catalog. Finally found this one and it is well worth the $. True to size. The fit is perfect. I'm amazed at how warm it is without being a heavy weight. Everything about it is made for comfort and warmth. I would also like to mention that this site is a first rate company to do business with.
