The North Face Nuptse Winter Bootie - Men's

Love those hut to hut tours but can't seem to keep your feet warm at the end of the day? Try on The North Face Men's Nuptse Bootie and find plush warmth. The 700-fill down insulation wraps your feet in comfort and super warmth. If you need to grab some more wood for the fire, head outside as the water-resistant, breathable upper promises to ward off wetness. An internal, ankle-securing elastic makes sure you won't schlep around in the snow. Your feet will be ready for the trail tomorrow as the compression-molded EVA outsole offers cushioning support.

Bottom Line: Treat your feet with The North Face Nuptse Bootie.

Fantastic Boots

By: canyonsedo2085585 (4)
April 28, 2008

I have two pairs of these boots. These boots are extremely warm and comfortable. These boots tend to run a tad larger than normal foot size. The North Face also offers a waterproof version of these boots for a higher price. I have found that these boots work just fine in snow and rain. I feel that there really isn't any point in spending the extra money on a waterproof version. These boots are really a version of a wintertime flip-flop. Don't expect any support in the ankles. These boots were really meant for wearing around a campsite or walking in the city on a cold day.

Awesome in the yurt

By: luckey115 (27)

I just tested these booties on a yurt trip in the Tetons and I absolutely loved them. The extra weight was quite negligible and they packed easily along side my sleeping bag inside my pack's sleeping bag compartment. The Nuptse Boots are very warm - even when standing in the snow. The lugged sole provides great traction and support -- all of my friends were jealous since their nearly new booties all have holes already. In regards to sizing, the Men's 11 fit my Men's 11.5 EEE foot perfectly -- so yes, they do run a little large. Still, I highly suggest these booties over all others. They are the best thing to put your feet into after a long day of ski touring.

I bought these boots for myself and all of my family. They are terrific. Very warm and comfortable and we walk a lot and they are amazing. I would recommend them to anyone.

Size not too big

By: mccarterw (1)

Read 2 reviews that stated the Nuptse Winter Bootie was sized big, but "2 pairs of socks solved the problem". I normally wear an 11.5 USA. These don't come in half sizes, so taking into consideration the comments of others, I ordered the 11.0. Well, it just BARELY fits - I'm right up against the front of the shoe. I think a 12 would have served me better. As to the quality of the bootie, it's awesome. I work on motorcycles in my garage and wanted something that was roomy (not tight like a leather boot) and warm and had a sole that could take some moving around on concrete and these work very well. I'm hoping that as I wear them this winter the front will give out some so that it isn't up against my toes. They are warm, but not hot. I'm sure when used as designed - going from tent to tent in the snow - they would also work well.

Great Boots

The Nuptse's are great. Super light weight. My House slippers weigh more. And easy to scrunch up in a pack. The best I've seen. Good price too.

Awesome

Yes the boots are a bit too big, if you order them a size small - they're awesome - They're like walking in your comforter. They're very good on snow actually. I wear them all the time - and all around town. Think of them as winter crocs.

Bad fit

I should have taken the other customer's review to heart. The boots that he ordered were too loose, and mine were the same. I would hate to walk in any icy conditions with these on, being as mushy as they are. I don't know how warm they are, since I have not worn them in snowy conditions yet.

Nuptse Bootie

By: crmaw@comcast.net (1)

The Nuptse bootie is nicely constructed, lightweight but thick sole that seems well insulated. Look forward to using them around the campsite for my upcoming winter camping trip to BWCA.

Mediocre

By: Anonymous (24)

These boots are very comfortable, but they run way too big! I ended up keeping a pair that's 2 sizes smaller than my regular shoe size. They also have absolutely no traction on snow! I'm not even talking about ice, but snow! They are incredibly lightweight and comfortable though. I would recommend the Sierra Designs DriZone Booties instead (they can be worn outside too).

A warm winter wonder.

These boots are great and warm. Even in -25F they where warm. They are sized quite large. This is because they are Base camp boots, two pairs of socks solved the problem. they have ample grip but not brilliant on icy stuff. Enjoy them

Very nice

Great bottom for actual around camp use. A little heavier but better traction. They actually run a little big if anything. Not too warm either.
