A very light weight jacket that still holds its form. I can be layered in the winter with a shell or even on top of a sweater. Where it really works best is as a sharp looking jacket for work or a night out in the spring/fall where you need something. Perfect buy.

A good light Jacket but had to return it because it was too flimsy. My other review should have been for the Apex Bionic.

I've been through a couple of these and over the years and I continue to buy them, which means I like them a lot. They fit on the smaller side so they layer easily.

The North Face products are the Real Deal for sure. Perfect jacket for mild-cool conditions. This site got my gear over to me without a hitch. Will use them again for my next purchase!

Love the jacket. Fits easily under my Marmot Oracle rain jacket. Extremely thin micro fleece. Soft and comfortable. Can pack down to a size smaller than a 16” softball. I highly recommend this for someone looking for a light, thin layer than can keep you warm down to about 45 degrees.

I pretty pumped about getting this fleece, but unfortunately ordered the wrong size. Backcountry went above and beyond my expectations with a quick and easy exchange for a better size! Overall, I had a great experience with the product and the provider. Thank you.

North Face products run large -- I'm 5'10", 160 and a small fits me athletically.
It's a thinner fleece, but that makes it better for wearing during high activity -- you can keep it on longer without de-layering.
And what matters most these days, this jacket looks cool. The collar pops well and the black/gray coloration looks good with most outer/inner layers.

I'm 53 years old and this is my first fleece. Very comfortable and warm. Fits well both in shoulders and sleeves. I see many more fleeces in my future.

Good versitility. Wear it alone on cool days and great layer when zipped into my shell. Good times, good times.

This is the ideal fleece jacket - light and warm, perfect for layering but not bulky. Coupled with a soft shell makes an unbeatable travel combo.

I went camping recently and the temperature was in the mid 40's at night. I wore a t-shirt under my Salathe, and was comfortable all night. Great for cool nights when you do not want to wear anything bulky. Nice soft fleece feel. Everything you look for in a fleece jacket without the bulkiness.

I wanted a versatile fleece I could wear all year round. And that is what I got! I can wear it now in the fall and then layer in the winter. The red color I ordered is bold and always gets compliments. But I would not get this fleece if you are looking for one to wear by itself in the winter... but I guess that is obvious

This jacket really is awesome. I love it. I can tell it will keep me warm this winter. This site did a great job helping me size it and getting it here when they said they would. A+ on quality and service.

This is an excellent jacket, it runs a bit small in the shoulders. Instead of an XL-tall, I needed XXL.
Great weight and overall appearance.

Nice jacket. Put together real well. I wear my fleeces pretty hard and this one seems like it should hold up. We'll see, since I've only had it for a month or so. One heads up to those buying is to pay attention to the note saying that most North Face jackets are built large. I ordered an extra large which usually fits in every other brand, however, I think the large would've fit much better.

I'm surprised more companies don't make a Polartec 100 weight jacket - it's a great layering piece, and I find I wear it on it's own a lot as well. I have a Denali fleece and a couple of 200 weight fleeces but I love the low bulk warmth of the Salathe. It travels with me everywhere, trips, trails, cycling, and even gets a bit of wear around the house.
