The North Face Jasper Canyon GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

The North Face Men's Jasper Canyon GTX Hiking Boot offers the stability and support you need to carrying heavy loads on multi-day adventures. The Jasper Canyon is a rugged backpacking or heavy hiking boot that handles the rigors of the trail like no other. When you need the sturdiness of a full leather boot but don't want the sturdy feel or break-in period, the Jasper Canyon comes to the rescue with tons of support mixed with forward flex and breathability. Seam-sealed construction and a waterproof Gore-Tex membrane keeps you dry in the backcountry and the northodic, ergonomically-designed multi-density footbed adds more comfort to your trek.

Bottom Line: The North Face Men's Jasper Canyon GTX Hiking Boot acts like a burly backpacking boot, but doesn't wear like one.

Great hikers so far

Hey all I think that these hikers are awesome they are very light weight and durable. Last week I hiked thru some lava flow areas south of grants new mexico. I only put about 10 miles on the boots before this hike and my feet were feeling good. So I would say these are good comfortable shoes.

These boots are tough. I've had them two weeks and I've already fallen in love with them. They are waterproof, comfortable, and good looking. I highly recommend them to anyone who hikes many times a week, they'll keep your feet feeling fine.

good fit

Got a size 11 and normally wear a 11 or 11.5 tennis shoe. I still have room for thick socks. Make sure to wear high top socks or they rub a little (of course).

North Face Jasper Canyon GTX Boots

By: Texas Trout Bum (1)
February 27, 2008

These boots are among the lightest and most comfortable I've ever worn. They fit well, right out of the box with the exception that the intergrated tounge tended to fold inside one of the boots ackwardly until it got broken in. These boots are so good-looking, I hated to wear them outside for fear of scuffing them. I quickly got over that, though. Highly recommended.

When I took these boots out of the box they were ready to go hiking! Great support and only needed a little break-in time. Excellent padding around the ankle area for scrambling. I highly recommend these boots.

One of the best boots I've ever worn. Cushioned feet and support, like I have never felt before. There a must have if your an avid hiker or for a long expedition. I wouldn't change a thing. Keep up the good work. The North Face has really lived up to it's name

As a winemaker I'm constantly working with water in my job to keep all the equipment clean and sterile. Since I've purchased these North Face boots my feet have been completely dry. The boots have been the most comfortable pair of boots that I've owned. I highly recommend them.

Sweet, lightweight Gore-Tex backpacking boot!

By: Dj Nebula (158)

Just returned from the High Uinta Wilderness here in Utah, and these boots were king! Very light weight, and tons of support on your heel, ankle, and no rolling! They stood up to the test with a lot of weight on my back, my legs were tired, but my feet never were! They were exceptional at fording water, and they breath better than any boot I have ever owned! If you are looking for a sweet backpacking boot- These are the ones! Check it!

Jasper Canyon Hikers

Just returned from Alaska, and the Jasper Canyon GTX were awesome. It was the only pair of boot I took, and they did everything from hiking Galacier and Denali and National to white water rafting to hiking Mount Healy and cruising the urban jungle of Seattle, WA, and Anchorage, AK.

Great Boot!

By: Worker Bee (1)

Minimal break-in period, ample room in the toe box and a lacing system that allows for a snug fit without cutting off the circulation to your ankles. The boot's odor management system works well (so far anyway) and the boot seems to be well-constructed. The only downside I have is their weight - they're not the lightest on the market, but the reinforcements in critical abuse areas (toe, heel and ankle areas) will just add weight, period.
