The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Women's

I wore my jacket on a recent trip to Washington D.C. where the weather was about 43 degrees in the morning and about 62 degrees during the day, it kept me warm and dry!! Everyone wanted to know where I got it. It was also very flattering on.

The jacket is nice looking but the long back looked really bad on me. I am 5"4" and 130Lbs and not fat at all but this jacket looked really odd. To bad, I have seen it on tall women and it looked good. I sent it back.

the wife loves this jacket, she feels as though she is bionic wearing it. I had to order myself one also, and love it as well.

The jacket is a nice slim fit that hugs your figure, yet still maneuverable. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about is the difference in length in the front and back. The front almost feels likes a midrift while the back hovers over your buttocks.

I bought the jacket after looking at reviews, but ended up returning it after trying it on at home. I'm sure it performs well outdoors, but the fit is all wrong! I'm 5'3" and not skinny, and the jacket (size small) was not only very loose at the bottom but also very short, especially in the front. I prefer something tighter that won't let in air from below.

It's a good jacket. Soft on the inside, thick on the outside for good wind protection. The only thing I don't like about it is the shape on the bottom. It's longer in the back than it is on the front. Which is fine if that's the way you like it. I got used to it, but it looks funny when you wear longer shirts underneath and they stick out the front but not the back.

Once again a quality product and a steal at that! The little lady LOVED the gift. As usual, my sizing was off but your service dept made things a snap! Thanks for giving the good stuff.

This jacket not only has great looks, but works awesome out during the cold and rainy days. The water just beads off instead of soaking into your clothes. I recommend this jacket to everyone. Nothing is better than North Face for the quality in their products.

Love this jacket. I use it snowboarding as a layer and I don't get cold any more. Works great as a wind blocker. It also looks good to wear around town by itself. Some of my friends have this jacket and they love it, too. I would recommend this jacket to anyone who is always cold skiing or snowboarding.

I love it...it's been great for spring snowboarding and for just going around the city. Rain just beads off it. True to size, too. I wear medium in most things and this medium jacket fits me perfectly. I like how it's slightly longer in the back...looks good on the figure. Been getting a lot of compliments, too. I highly recommend this jacket!

Several of the reviews said that the jacket runs large. So I ordered XS which was too short on the waist. Had to return it. Am waiting for size S now.

Fabulous jacket. My first soft shell. Its minimal profile and maximum stretch make it great for high-movement activity and layering. I bought this to add to my backcountry/nordic arsenal, and it may replace my fleece jacket since it's less bulky for that purpose. This jacket layers well -- fit a base and fleece vest beneath and shell atop for a cold, windy day and I was toasty. And I wasn't too hot in milder conditions.

I bought this jacket for windy days in London and is GREEAAATTT!!! It is roomy so you can layer a light turtleneck sweater. So you are ready to walk all day long on windy chilly days in London. Perfect for jogging too. Super recommendable!!!

this is the tried and true jacket when the top is off the jeep. warmer than it looks ,reasonably stain resistant.performance and vainity rolled into one.

Warmer than it looks. I wear it so work sometimes with jeans, too. It has received MANY compliments and it's great for skiing. Not bulky at all. Love it. If I didn't live in a desert, I would buy another one.

I bought this jacket for my wife who is always cold on the slopes. She hasn't been cold since and we have had some chilly days in the Colorado high country. I bought the men's version of the Apex Bionic last year and this year's version is way better in that it seems more water proof, wind proof, and stain resistant. North Face gear is always among the best and they usually stand behind their products.

My wife and I both ordered matching bionic jackets for an upcoming backpacking trip. Needless to say, I am very satisfied with my jacket and wear it all the time. My wife is not very satisfied with her jacket though. There is no cinch/toggles around the waist, as in the male version, no method to tighten the sleeves (as in the male version) and the fit is very odd, the XS was to short and the small was way to wide and still and little bit short. If you are a guy go ahead and order, but ladies beware.

My wife loves the Bionic Jacket I bought for her. It really blocks the wind and is great for layering. It is much more of an every day wear item versus other jackets or coats, which are bulky.

I purchased the jacket as a Christmas gift and I ordered not only the wrong color, but the wrong size. I immediately ordered the jacket in the correct size and color. I must also add the replacement jacket arrived in time for Christmas. YEAH! Am I correct in assuming that when you credit the orginal jacket to my credit account, I will be notified by e-mail? ...this jacket adapts with the temperature. It is rated a 4 because of breathability issues and the tiny zippers for the pockets, and there isn't a 4.5 rating. I wore it while hustling through the airport for 35 minutes and found out the jacket traps heat REALLY well. I've also worn it in 22 degree F weather with a long sleeve shirt on underneath. No problems at all! It really stops the wind, which I think is the best feature of the Apex Bionic Jacket!

This has got to be the best and the BEST-EST semi lightweight soft shell jacket out there. The fit is big enough to layer underneath it, yet not so big that you look like a puff ball. This is my fourth apex jacket and I would buy all the colors if I could or needed them. I do find the side pocket zippers hard to work especially zipping upwards (to close) after a few washings. The zipper pull tab on the pockets is very small and hard to grab with a thin glove/mitten. But this would NOT stop me from buying another way. Awesome Product!

This was the perfect gift for my wife. Living in mild temperatures with uncertain wind and precipitation calls for a jacket that can endure whatever gets thrown its way. My personal experience with the men's Apex allowed me the confidence to buy her the women's jacket. This is a must have for the avid outdoor thrill seeker in mild climates.

I am really gettng a lot of used out this jacket. it packs small is very cozy and warm enough when you need it. i am very happy with this purchase.

Even though this jacket is thin, it is very warm! I only wish it were longer on the waist. The front is cut up high and longer in the back... I had to order a medium instead of a small so it would at least hit past my belly button. Size wise, the small was perfect except for the length. The medium is a bit baggy and not as fitted as I would like it to be-- but it is longer than the small. Other than that, good jacket.

I love this jacket. I received it last week and have worn it every day. I live in the upstate of SC and believe that this is the only jacket that I'll need. The sleeves were long on me but I rolled them under & that seemed to work pretty well. Besides that, I felt that it ran true to size - not too tight. I purchased the brown color and think it's perfect.The price was 20% off and received free shipping - who can beat that? Oh, and the on-line support was great, I had questions because I had entered my email incorrectly.

Great light weight jacket. I believe it is true to size. I read another review that said it ran small so with that I ordered a larger size than I normally would have and it was too big. I returned the first one I ordered and then ordered one in my normal size and it fits perfectly. The next test will be to try it in the snow!

This jacket is great! I seem to be wearing it daily-it is like a uniform or that favorite pair of lounging pants you hang out it--I have black and would like every color! Looks great with my work slacks and after my work out as well!

This is a disspointment from my favorite North Face line. I already own 4 other TNF products and this is the one in the back of my closet. It has an effective windstopping material with the apex fabric but the arms are very bulky and then slim down dramatically towards the wrists so you look lik you have very broad shoulders. Doesn't keep you warm at all in cold weather under 60 degrees F. Has a nice cut with it being longer in the back and higher in the front but i wouldn't recommend this if you want a streamlined windstopper jacket. I would go with the North Face Pamir for that-- a lot more expensive but you are getting way more with that jacket.

This jacket is not heavy but it is unbelievably warm. Some of the reviews made me hesitant to purchase. The high front and low back design is great. Don't let that stop you. It is a bit pricey but once you wear it you can see why. Highly recommend it.

The size chart was right on. I am a Small and loved how there was extra room in the armpit and waist when wearing a sweater. The brown is beautiful and love how it is shaped. The lining on the arm sleeve to keep the breeze out was brilliant! It kept me warm on a cold day. I bought it for my trip to Machu Picchu, Peru. Can't wait!

I appreciate the fact that the front of the jacket is shorter in the front than in the back for sitting purposes. However, it is kind of awkward. Other than that I LOVE MY JACKET.

i took my new jacket on a 3 wk long iceland trip: i love the material- it keeps you dry(drizzle) and keeps the wind out- superb material!!!! BUT: the jacket would be more useful if it was tighter around the waist. it is a little to loose to keep the warm air in and the wind from getting underneath. the area around your kidneys felt a little chilly at times... the jacket is cut kind of loos aroound the shoulders but if you wear a pullover underneath- you'll need it! it worked very well underneath a rain jacket. great variety of colors.

I love this jacket so much! It's light but so effective. I get cold super easy but it honestly keeps me just as warm as my big thick winter coat. It is worth every penny!

This jacket is awesome, not to warm not too cool perfect for moderate temps. Good for skiing, although I had wished that there were vents on the sides when I was hiking. Nevertheless I would buy this jacket again and again.
