The Best Sweat Pants

These are the best sweat pants. They are comfy & warm. The fabric does not pill-they launder well. According to the size chart, I could wear a small and I have tried a small in a store - could wear if you like a more fitted pant. BUT THESE ARE SWEAT PANTS - I got medium and wear them to death.
great for everything

I have two pair of these and love them. Mine still look brand new after several washes! They are the perfect weight for mild to moderately cold weather!

Awesome. They do fit big for the size and long too but they can be hemmed for length. I'm 5'8 and 115lbs and the extra small fit well. Small ones were baggy.

I'm confused about the inseam on these pants. Can you measure it and let me know. I've looked at the sizing chart and understand the numbers there, but that still doesn't tell me how long these pants are. Thanks, Mary

The inseam length varies by size. These pants come in XS-XXL. The inseam for XS is 30.5", the S and M are 31", the L is 31.5", and the XL and XXL are 32".

These are the perfect pants for winter. Not too tight (I can still wear capri running tights under them, but no one can tell and I'm not sporting spandex at the grocery store after the gym) and not too baggy. I wear them by themselves too, and the fit is still great! I got one pair at the North Face store in Seattle and then searched for more on the internet after my first season with them. I still get compliments on them, I think it is the perfect fit. My first pair still look as good as the other two I got later, so they wear well too.
I usually take a 4 in pants, will the small be too tight?

I bought these pants hoping for some soft, loungey pants to replace my sweat pants. The material was soft, and the legs were a perfect length, but they weren't as roomy as I was hoping for. (They're a tad snug in the hips and seat.) I also tried a size up, but they were way too baggy, and the legs were too long.
If you're looking for slightly more tailored fleece pants that hug your buns, then these will rock your world. But,if you want a comfy lounging pant, keep looking a little further.

These pants are surprisingly warm and heavenly comfortable. I only wish Backcountry would order new shipments more often so that I could buy a second pair- since they always seem to be sold out!
Highly comfy, Lets out too much heat, defeats the purpose

I bought the smallest size, I'm 5'2", and the length was too long. They are extremely comfortable and great for camping/sleeping in, hanging around, but don't take them to the Desert...I'm just sayin'..But, great design yet I think the leg width below the knee is too wide too. Lets out too much heat, defeats the purpose.

These pants are definitely the warmest coziest pants I have ever had. Great to slip into after a day on the trail. They sit lower on the waist and are bit tight through the thighs (especially if you have bulky thighs like I do). Warning: mine stretched out a lot! Mine started out tight and ended up loose by the end of my first trip using them!

These pants saved me while in the San Juan Islands, WA. The evenings are chilly and these pants kept me warm and dry. The fleece pants may pick up grass clippings and plant material so one may want to wear rain pants on top of that layer.
very warm, seem to run a bit big

I LOVE these pants. I ordered a medium b/c I like baggy sweats. This was a mistake. The mediums are ridiculously HUGE on me...even the drawstring waist can't make these fit. It was stupid on my part. I am fairly scrawny, and the small size is baggy enough for my taste but not so huge that they just look ridiculous. I love the fabric and feel of these pants. They are so cozy and very warm. I would wear these out and about. I don't do sweats outside the house, but these look nice and not sloppy.

The TKA 100 Pant is the best pair of fleece pants I have ever owned. The adjustable waistband allows for a perfect fit, while the wide leg allows for room over boots. I wear these pants around the house and when I hike. They are breathable, yet weather resistant. The zip pocket is handy for a key when you don't want to carry a purse on your walk. The pants also stand up to multiple washes.

I loved my black pair so much that I got a second pair in brown. The TKA pant is warm and extremely comfortable. It withstands multiple washes without pilling. The back pocket is great for a key, chapstick, and cell phone for the short hikes.
highly recommend them

I bought these in soil brown and they are just the pants you want to put on when you come in from work and need to relax but stay warm on a cold nite. Very soft, nice comfy unrestricted drawstring waist fit. They have a tailored fit and were not baggy. I want another pair!
Yes, one inside pocket.

North Face TKA 100 Pant - a winner

April 23, 2009
It's great over workout shorts or tights, generously cut in the legs, and warm indoors. Not much wind stopping power, but fine over tights outdoors for brief forays into the cold. Got the black; I think I'll get the grey, too.
Loooooooooove these pants!

I now own several pairs of these awesome pants. They're not too baggy, not too tight, and not too long in the legs. The material wears very well, and resists pilling. Worth every penny!

are these north face tka 100 pant good for outdoor winter weather running? I'm looking for clothing for this and layering techs. Need ideas am new to running and am 52 yrs old and lost over 1
By: Meloyd Feddeler
November 29, 2008
Hi, Meloyd. I wouldn't choose these for outdoor winter running. These are more for lounging around after. For running, on cold days, try any number of tights like the CW-X Insulator, the Sugoi Midzero or the Sugoi Wallaroo 170 (all with different tech characteristics). For a looser fit, you may like The North Face Swift Hybrid Pant.

I bought these fleece based on other reviews, and I'm glad I did. I used them for skiing, over Capilene 3 base layer. They were not skin tight or too baggy; they worked great around the lodge as well. I'm tall, and they were a good length. Also a fan of the drawstring and the mini pocket. Very happy with this purchase.

How soon can you ship the NorthFace TKA 100 Women's pant
How soon can you ship the NorthFace TKA 100 Women's pant ... and when would it get to Maine?
By: aah2498943
October 22, 2008
It'll ship guaranteed the same day if you order before noon MST, maybe the same day or maybe the next day if you order after noon. Shipping is as fast as next day (which is pricey) and shipping times don't include weekends. So the fastest you could do is order it on say Tuesday in the morning, pay Next Day shipping, and it'll be there sometime Wednesday.

My new favorite pants
By: ciara
November 7, 2008
Once fall hits, fleece pants are my after work go to wardrobe item. I love that these pants are fitted, not baggy and are a mid layer weight. I wore them over thermal bike pants on recent mountain bike rides, plan to wear them for boarding and snowshoeing. I'm 5'10" 135 lbs and a medium fits nicely. Wish they were a little longer though.
None better!

Big hit with the girlfriend
By: Souldaddy
December 27, 2007
My girlfriend and I were at The North Face store in Portland, OR a month ago or so and she mentioned how much she liked these pants (wink wink, yeah).
So yeah, I ordered them the next day.
They're her "lounge around the house" pants, and she loves them. They are "very" soft and warm.
She got me a pair for Christmas. Sweet jeebus, they're great. The men's XL is cut "extremely" long though.

I love these pants. So much so, that I bought a second pair. They are wonderful for cold nights around the house. They look great too! I am 5'8", average build. I have a hard time finding pants that fit my waist (small) and butt (big) as well as are an appropriate length, but I couldn't ask for a better fit with these! The drawstring is on the inside of the waist and so they have a nice tailored look to them. Great purchase!
I love these pants!

These pants are FABULOUS!!! I LOVE THEM and have been wearing them ALOT! I really want the Black too, but they are sold out everywhere. You will NOT be disapointed. They are just like the TKA 100 Fleece Quarterzips that I adore, so a cute outfit with those and much classier than sweat pants and such. If anything, they run roomy, I had to go XS and I am usually a 4 in pants. My other North Face shorts and pants are small, so maybe go down one size. I hope they get more in stock. I have had them on for long days and they DO NOT strech out like many similar pants. Another FAB product from North Face! Backcountry, get more in stock please!
