The North Face Bionic Softshell Jacket - Girls' - 2008
The North Face constructed the Girls' Bionic Jacket with Apex ClimateBlock softshell material for an excellent blend of weather protection and breathability. This versatile girls' jacket can be used as an outer shell or as a layering piece in really wet and windy weather. The Bionic Jacket's completely windproof and water-resistant material gets the job done by itself when it's not yet raining cats and dogs. It also zips into compatible shells from The North Face to create a complete package for all-season conditions.
Bottom Line: The North Face proves that softshells aren't just for adults with the wind- and water-resistant Girls' Bionic Jacket.

This jacket is well worth the money, and not that much at that. This is an ideal spring weight and keeps the wind out. We ordered a medium for a 10 year old. It runs a little big since she usually wears large or exlarge. The reviews are helpful Backcounty .com is the best place to order from. helpful

Pro: lightweight, water and wind resistant, stylish, and it is North Face. Can't go wrong with it. Worth the money.
Cons: haven't found one. my kid loves this jacket. we go hike with them and stitches and material is very HIGH quality. Unlike imitators doesn't even come close.
Suggestion: go with darker color and go one size up because kid grow pretty quickly. My daughter is petite (size 0) 7 yr old about 4'10" SM is perfect fit but I had to return it for M (little longer in arm length but it will last her at least 4 yrs+).
