Thule Ridgeline Hitch Bike Carrier

The Thule Ridgeline Hitch Bike Carrier covers all the bases. This easy-to-use four-bike rack sets you up with everything you need to get to the trailhead. Thule's Stinger Swinger quickly converts from 2- to 1 ¼-inch hitches straight out of the box. The Hitch Switch mechanism has dual quick-release levers to make it simple to connect and remove the Ridgeline Rack so you can get into the back of your ride. Secure up to four bikes down in the T3 Cradles and prevent swaying with the included No Sway Cage. Thule also included an integrated locking cable and a STL2 hitch lock for maximum security.

Bottom Line: The Thule Ridgeline Hitch Bike Carrier—everything you need to quickly, safely, and securely transport up to four bikes.

Perfect

The Thule Ridgeline is the perfect bike carrier for me. It is very solidly made and thoughtfully designed with every feature in the bike rack world. It slid right into the hitch receiver on my 2008 Prius and locked solidly in place - no rattles. I can open the rear hatch without folding down the vertical member and the horizontal folding bars allow me to park in the garage with plenty of spare room. My wife likes not lifting bikes over her head to mount them on a rooftop carrier. The bike lock and receiver lock are easy to use and out of the way when not in use. Plus, I have not seen any decrease in gas mileage on the Prius since mounting the rack. I have yet to find anything I don't like about the Ridgeline rack. Highly recommended!

Outstanding Bike Rack

Solid Rack. Easy to use. Carried 3 mountain bikes on rough jeep trails in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. On the jeep trails you see the bikes bouncing around in your rear view mirror, but the bikes stay very secure. Rack is officially not recommended for off road use but it held the bikes like a champ.

What an awesome rack!

I would rate this bike rack as my best purchase of the year. It is very quick and easy to install. The quick releases work extremely well. I just leave the rack on my station wagon most of the time, taking it only off if I have to put very bulky items into the trunk. So now I can just throw my bike on the car on short notice, without any hassle - which led to a 200% increase in the amount of exercise I get ;-) I had a rack before that didn't fold down, and I very quickly learned that this is a feature that you simply can't live without (unless your garage is huge), so I returned it after a week of having to take the rack off the car every evening and got the Ridgeline instead. I have not transported 4 bikes on it yet, but have loaded it up with 3 bikes regularly. I could imagine 4 bikes being a bit of a hassle to figure out how to arrange them without handlebar conflicts. But the 3 always worked out well. I have used the rack with one bike on it on long drives, which included both interstate and bumpy dirt road use, and had no trouble whatsoever with the bike coming loose. I even had the car parked with the bike on the rack during near-Tornado-level winds, and found absolutely no evidence of the bike having banged against the rack or the car. So, in summary: Love it, couldn't imagine life without it anymore!

One SICK rack!

This Thule rack is so sweet! I have a Mazda 3 hatchback and the quick release feature is so wonderful to have. The integrated security cord and hitch lock are huge bonuses. The anti-sway cages make a night and day difference and keep the bikes solid. This is definitely one perfect rack. Get it and I promise you'll be happy for many many years. I got the 4-bike rack and use the 1.25" receiver - everything fits perfect and feels secure.
