Use Thule's Rack Configurator to figure out exactly what you need. I personally think Yakima makes a better product for less money, it might be worth taking a look at their options too.

Yes, you can purchase wider crossbars for the rack, just be forewarned that your car will look dwarfed by longer than 48" bars.
