SmartWool Midweight Zip-T Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Wear the SmartWool Women's Midweight Zip-T long-sleeve shirt for stop-and-go aerobic activities or as a warm base layer. This top is ideal for situations where the weather and temperature fluctuate, like in alpine environments. SmartWool's porous natural fibers move moisture while it is still in vapor form before it has a chance to condense on your skin; you stay drier and more comfortable throughout your alpine foray. By comparison, synthetics transport moisture after it condenses; you must visibly sweat before any moisture management begins, which leads to chills once you stop moving. SmartWool fiber is also highly adaptable to a broad range of conditions; it keeps you warm when you rest and cool when your pulse and core temperature heat up. This naturally anti-microbial shirt features a ˝-length Zip-T collar for increased ventilation control. Flattering princess seams with a flatlock-seam construction hug your curves and reduce chafing. An active fit allows for bulk-free layering without inhibiting your freedom of movement.

Bottom Line: This Midweight deals out heavyweight thermoregulation.

I got this shirt for my wife to keep her warm when we run in the cold but she pretty much just wears it every day instead.

Smartwool Rocks

Bought the Smartwool Long-Sleeve Midweight Zip-T Shirt as Christmas present for my wife. We spent the holiday vacation skate skiing and she just loved the new shirt, warm and moisture wicking with a very nice fit, she’s very picky about sleeve lengths and this one fit perfect. She’s already hinting that I get her another one for Valentine’s Day…better than a box of chocolates.

Great bottom layer

My wife has worn these while horseback riding down to about 20 degrees and she didn't want to take them off when she got home. She loves them. A bit expansive, but, worth it, apparently.

SMARTWOOL, HOW I LOVE THEE!

By: greengirl(3)

Can you tell I love this top? This is a fantastic snowsports midlayer that also works well on its own. I usually wear this on top of the midweight crewneck and it's enough to keep me toasty and dry under my triclimate ski jacket, even on the coldest, windiest days at Vail and Breck. The princess seams are slimming and accent the female form, and this top is stylish enough to wear in town. It really wicks away moisture, and truly does not ever stink, even after a week of skiing in it every day. My only beef is with the pilling. It pills terribly after several washes. Don't be overzealous with the shaver. I've destroyed 2 smartwools because I unwittingly shaved them too thin and holes appeared after the next wash. I own 6 of these tops and will never wear anything else for cold weather sports.

Too short for tall gals

I'm 5'11" and a size 8-10(M) and the sleeves and body were not long enough. I ordered a Mens small and it fits right. Love these lightweight wool items.

The best layer ever!

I've been wearing Smart Wool (mid-weight zip up and always, socks) for over a year while running in cool/damp weather -- I don't get too hot. It is very soft and not scratchy. It wicks well so that I feel dry (and I sweat a lot) and I don't get chilled even when I am through with the workout. I gave it for Xmas gifts this year and everyone loves it! The perfect layer piece regardless of what you're up to.

Like it a lot!

I like this top very much, the wool is not scratchy and it is actually pretty dressy if you want to just wear it a" la civilian". I have not tried mine to exercise yet, so can't say how it holds up with the moisture wicking and odor control. I wear an extra small and the fit is great, not too tight, and not too short, yet it follow your curves. I would definitely buy another one.
