Tell Grandma to stop knitting socks

Have her buy these instead. Still love ya Grammy! But these truely are the best socks that I've ever found. Everyone else has said it all. I have used these on several continents and they are THE ONLY socks I use. You will not be disappointed. And for my brothers (and sisters) in service they work great inside 'issue' footwear too.

Overall great product from Smartwool. Padding is a little heavy, but you get what you order.

Outstanding comfort and support

These are by far the most comfortable hiking socks I have ever owned. Just bought a bunch more. Smooth contour under foot with subtle support around arch. Trail walk with Merrell Walkers or hiking with LaSportiva boots- comfort is enhanced. Warm weather wicking is excellent. have not tried in cold yet. Have heavier weight smartwool for that.

A bit warm

These are nice socks. They fit my foot perfectly. I bought the "light" version, but they are actually quite warm. Too warm to wear at work (indoor wearing sandals), but very nice outdoor. I like the green color, all other "outdoor" socks tend to be grey or brown.

i only wear smartwool and own two pair of these incredible socks. when they say light, however, they really do mean light. not too much warmth is provided by this thin ones, yet they last forever. even if you soak your entire shoe or book in water, you feet will still not blister!!! still super comfy!

I had intended to buy a breathable sock with some comfortable cushioning - that is exactly what this is.

Among two other experienced hikers and 15 backpacking miles later, I came home with 1 real blister, about 5-6 less than everyone else. Good socks, I hope they last - they'll see more action soon.

These socks are very warm. They go great combined with a pair of ski socks for skiing in colder weather. They also are great everyday socks in the winter.

I have never owned a pair longer or have taken such good care of socks as I have these. I treat them how they treat me. Great for warm day hikes. These have seen a lot of use and abuse. Im getting another pair because the pair I have is so great!!

No blisters - Warm toes

What can you say about a sock that does its job in wet boots? You don't notice your feet when portaging in the BWCA until they are cold and blisted and you are having pain while walking. Non of that happened with these socks - so the best compliment I can give them is that my feet never knew they were on. Without them, as we like to say in the South, "my dawgs would have been barking."
