Seven2 Vapor Paddle - 2006

The Seven2 Vapor Paddle is an incredibly lightweight, carbon shaft paddle that's fit for any price-conscious kayaker. This two-piece paddle's carbon fiber shaft and carbon n6 dihedral blade give you durable and lightweight performance that will help you stay on the water all day. Seven2's ergonomic, sansoprene grips and gently flexing shaft reduce fatigue on your arms and provide outstanding control and power. Since the Vapor has a 360 degree offset, you can adjust it into an infinite number of positions to ensure you get the most leverage out of your Seven2 paddle.

Vapor paddle adjustment

I own a Seven Carbon paddle and I use it for surfing. I know it is not intended for kayak surfing. The thing is that it broke in the part where it has a little hole. But now I made it stonger by putting it together with epoxy. I had to unglue the parts where you grab the shaft and adjust them to my legnth. Now this is my favorite paddle.

The slenderness and lightness of this paddle make it an excellent long distant paddle. Because of the thin shaft it teaches you not to rely too much on using the paddle as an exit device, as it bends a little. This and a Greenland paddle are the only ones I now use.
