Sorel Victoria Boot - Women's

The Sorel Women’s Victoria Boot gives you warm winter style that’s as at home on icy city streets as it is strolling through Vail Village. The waterproof, full-grain leather upper protects you from slush and deep snow, and the 100 grams of Thinsulate insulation and faux-fur lining cradle your foot in cozy warmth. Sorel added an EVA midsole and footbed for comfort during long days on your feet, and a multi-directional lugged rubber sole to provide traction when it’s slicker than an ice rink outside.

Bottom Line: The Victoria brings feminine style and winter-worthy protection to your daily life.

Dragonfly, Random fact: Columbia makes a shoe called the Dragonfly. This boot is not meant for as cold of conditions as other Sorel models. The Timberwolf has 200g of Thinsulate and is rated for -25. Sorel doesn't have a publish temperature rating for the Victoria (100g Thinsulate half that of Timberwolf), but suggest that it will comfortable around 0 and does not suggest it for colder then that.Mahalo, Sumo

warm and good lookin'

Have waited 3-4 years to find a decent looking boot for women that's functional (read: not fru-fru) and warm,
yet doesn't make me look as though I'm on the "work crew" for the DOT.
These fit the bill. Comfortable, good support and fit well beneath jeans as well. Good traction too,
but for additional help, can easily slip some YakTrax over the boot for added traction. Have to trudge through 6-8 inches of snow/ice and they perform beautifully.

I have short, thick calves. Will these still fit well?

I think that they probably would. Since they have no zipper, only laces it is very easy to adjust them and they are not very tall so I don't think height would be a problem.Hope that helps!

great for anything

I currently live in California but I will be starting college on the east coast in the fall. I got these boots in anticipation for that as well as several trips I have taken this winter to Massachusetts and upstate New York and they are absolutely perfect. They are not bulky at all so I can wear them under or over pants and they look nice enough to wear at low key college interviews. They have been great in cold weather but don't bake my feet when the temperature is in the 50s. They are very comfortable and I have worn them for days of being on my feet for hours on end.
I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 and they were out of 8s so I got the 7.5 and it is very true to size. I have found that many snow boots tend to run large but these don't seem to have that problem.
Overall great boot and I would definitely recommend them!

This boot would be a great way to go. Sorel's typically run pretty wide. Some of the Patagonia line runs wide as well.

not worth even looking at

I put the right boot on when I got it in the mail and the shoe lace broke with in 10 seconds of lacing it up. I am no weakling, but I definitely am not the person who screws the lid to the jelly on too tight either. It didn't take much effort for the weak shoelace to snap. I run between an 8.5 and a 9. I got the 9 and it was too big. Sent these boots back and still am searching for my winter sole mate.

Yes they do. They tend to be a little on the wide side but other than that they're true to size.

perfect

Got these boots for 5 days in Iceland in December, and they were perfect through temperatures ranging from 20-40deg F, rain, sleet, hail, snow, all of the above at once, as well as a glacier hike. The crampons (for the glacier) messed up the suede a bit, but it brushed out. Very comfortable from day one (nice to be able to adjust the lacing), waterproof, and warm without being too warm. Now I have them for the rest of the winter!

Why is this boot not listed on the Sorel website? I can't

Why is this boot not listed on the Sorel website? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Is it actually a Sorel product?

It's not completely unheard of to not see an entire line on the manufacturers website. Could be a boot they make specifically for certain retailers, could be the end of a run on a seasons boot or a couple of other things. These are in fact Sorel's though.

Dependable and comfortable and decent price

I live in deep snow country - great boot for trudging through snowbanks and the sole grips well on slippery surfaces. A pain to lace up compared to slipons, but fit really well and are warm. A good boot and I'd recommend to a friend
