Sorel Intrepid Expedition Boot - Men's

You don't have to be as tough as the Yukon Mushers who inspired this boot to know that the Sorel Intrepid Expeditions stand up against harsh winter conditions. The nylon twill outer is abrasion resistant and won't fray after your first expedition. Seal the staying sry deal with the Intrepid's nylon ripstop gaiter that keeps snow from getting into your boots. Rubber slush guards let you track through some pretty messy snow-slush mixes and escape unscathed. Remove the ThermoPlus Expedition InnerBoots with rubber outsoles and wear them alone for high-aerobic winter activities and around camp. The Intrepid's intense insulation uses several layers to fight intruding cold, including a removable Sorel Meltdown midsole. Grooved rubber soles offer optimal traction in snowy conditions.

Great warm boot for the worst conditions out there. Being in Denver and spending a lot of time up in the Rocky Mountains it is a great thing to have nice warm feet while out in the elements. Nothing can ruin your day quicker then cold wet feet. That does not seem possible with the Sorel Intrepid Expedition Boot. They are very warm, water proof and with the tall snow skirt on the top virtually impossible to have snow get inside the top of your boot. Downfalls, Well they are on the heavy side. If you plan on doing a lot of walking, then plan on getting a leg work out included.
