SportHill Versa II Pant - Women's
Head from the snowy trails to your errands in town without sporting that spandex look—wear the loose-fitting SportHill Women's Versa II Pants. Not as loose as sweats and as tight as Lycra, the Versa II Pants offer a comfortable fit with an extra-wide waistband and low rise. Take off on the trail with your keys in the back pocket. Flatlock seams won’t chafe, and a reflective logo ensures you stay visible in low light. Afterwards, head straight into town as these running pants look great no matter where you go. Rise hits about 1 inch below your natural waistline.
Bottom Line: If you aren't into the spandex look, sport the SportHill Versa II Pants and hit the road.

are they wind proof and warm enough to wear for spring cross country skiing?

They are rated for 0 to 40 degree weather and up to 35 mph winds; I've never been cold in SportHill Zone 3 wear like these, although I haven't tested the pants on the coldest of days yet. Depending on your spring weather, they may be too warm.

I Love SportHill

I've had many SportHill tops over the years, and they've changed my "I hate snow" mantra. This is the first pair of pants I have from them. I just wore them for the first time yesterday, and they were comfortable to run in. I was actually surprised that they seem to run a little big. Their tops run a little snug, so I generally order a large instead of a medium if I want to wear them over another layer, but the large pants truly are a large. I normally wear a size 10 and these feel like a 12. I'm 5'4" and they are longer than most of my other running pants, but not so long they drag on the ground, thank goodness. They sit a little below the waist, have a wide waistband that is flat and comfortable, the legs taper, then flare out a tad, so the fit is flattering. The key pocket is sleek and subtle. These are rated for Zone 3, that is for 0 - 40 degree weather with winds to 30 mph, and I am positively not cold in them. Their Zone 3 items are too warm when the weather gets above 40. I laughed, because I used to go home early on cold days running because I got too cold, now if I don't use the right Zone rating for the day, I go home because I'm too hot! Incidentally, they're not too warm for lounging around a chilly house; they just lock in your own body heat, so feel too warm when your core temp rises. SportHill is my favorite winter wear!
