Special Blend Proper Insulated Jacket - Women's

Special Blend made the Women's Proper Jacket with a full, plush faux-fur lining, which means you feel luxuriously warm even though it's butt-freezing on the hill. Since riding in wet faux fur would be really gross, the Proper Jacket has 15K-rated waterproof fabric and fully taped seams. Open the Underarm zips when it warms up, and stash glove liners and lip balm in the front cargo and chest pockets. The Special Blend Proper Jacket's feminine cut leaves enough room for light layering underneath, but if you really want room to move freely in the pow, you can unzip the jacket’s hips to open up the fit. The hood adds head warmth, and the removable powder skirt keeps snow from sneaking in.

They are cut and made to fit very very similar. So a Large in a Special Blend will be very similar to a large in a RIDE jacket.

I have a big chest (well, not that big, but about 35.5 - 36 inches) and a small waist (26 inches) with a 30" sleeve length. According tot he size chart, I think I should get a small, but I want to make sure I have room for some layering. Any suggestions on the small vs. medium?

I really loved this jacket the moment i opened the package. The fur-hood is detachable, and there are small lines of silver glitter, or i'm not sure exactly how to say it, but its pretty and laid out along with the plaid design. It's comfortable, soft, and the color is wonderful. Buy all your snowboarding stuff at Backcountry, i think it's always the best deal (:

I don't believe this jacket has removable fur lining. If you want that feature check out some of the line from prAna here on backcountry.com. They've got some great jackets and at least all the ones I've seen with fur have been removable.
