Special Blend Avalon Jacket - Women's

The Special Blend Women's Avalon Jacket keeps you warm and dry on stormy winter days and cool during bluebird spring sessions. The 15K-rated waterproof fabric and fully taped seams block moisture, and a removable liner adds changing-weather versatility. Wear the entire system in cold, wet weather, and sport just the lining or the shell when the weather warms up. Removable fur lining on the hood adds urban style to the Avalon Jacket, and the fit leaves enough room for layers while maintaining a feminine cut. Pitzips help you dump heat on the mountain, and this Special Blend three-in-one jacket's powder skirt blocks snow when you don't quite stomp your landings.

Bottom Line: Get both a winter and spring jacket with Special Blend's Avalon.

Warm

Very warm, which was exactly what i was looking for, however, the sleeves are a little tight, which limits the amount of layering you can do. Also, the powder skirt doesn't really work when you have the liner zipped in (which totally doesn't make sense because if its cold enough to want the liner, you definitely want the powder skirt). However definitely warm, and very cute!

First Special Blend Coat Stealing Burton Fan

By: Flotang76 (2)

This coat is my first Special Blend coat ever and it is amazing. I got this coat in the size Medium in the Artesian Blue color. The details on this coat are remarkable: many pockets, zippers, and extra features that you can all use on the slopes. The quality of this coat is an A++. It is made of very heavy duty material that surely will keep you warm and dry in the snow. The fur trim on the hood comes off and the inside lining is removable so you can wear it on its own. Very stylish too. The coat is pretty heavy overall and the fit around the shoulder area is perfect. I think the bottom of the coat around the hip area is a bit narrow for me, so if you are a bit more curvy on the bottom, I would recommend getting a size larger. So far, the quality of this coat has beat the quality on any Burton coats of mine!

this coat is rad, it's super warm. the first time i wore it was night riding and i wasn't cold at all. i'm stoked on the removable liner, the coat is way versatile and can be worn in blizzard or spring conditions. i got the artesian water and the color looks even better in person than it does online.

Wicked Awesome

Well, to start this jacket is amazing. It has so many special touches, it seems like the designers thought of everything. It's very warm and keeps the wind out, even in minus 25 degrees Celsius, which is great. The hood is nice and fits close to the face so the cold doesn't get trapped inside. Also, this jacket is pleasing to the eye, I get a lot of compliments when I'm out on the hill :). My only complaint is that the liner is white and you have to zip it into the coat inside-out, so if you're wearing any dark colours, you have to be careful that they don't run onto the jacket. Other than that, it's a great coat and it totally lived up to my expectations.
