Snow Peak Titanium Double Wall Cup 450

The Snowpeak Titanium Double Wall Cup 450 is a super lightweight, insulated cup that will hold 14 oz of your favorite hot beverage. This tough and rustproof cup features an insulating double wall construction that will keep your beverages warm to the last sip. Corrosion-resistant titanium is super lightweight and has superior strength compared to steel. Backpackers who count every ounce will barely notice it is there. This ultralight cup weighs in at only 4.2 oz.

Bottom Line: Use it for your favorite hot backcountry beverages—it won't taint your morning coffee with the taste of the hot toddy you had around the fire the previous evening.

good product

The price is a litle high but when you think of the weight and how it keeps things warm it's worth it. I actually bought a second cup after one morning not thinking I put my first on the heat. The bottom rounded out a little but it still works great. I now take the rounded one when backpacking on long trips with my wife and share it; and both when weight isn't much of a consideration like overnight in the warm weather or car camping.

Titanium is awesome.

I've used this for everything from oatmeal to whiskey. After a few uses the metallic taste goes away, and even better, my oatmeal has never tasted like whiskey.

The 'Snow Peak Titanium Double Wall Cup 450' coupled with the 'MSR Mugmate Coffee/Tea Filter' and you can brew yourself a really good cup of coffee that will not burn your lips off. All that and light weight too.

Review of Bora 95 Backpack

Spacious, lighter weight than previous model, quality workmanship, two holders on side for Nalgene bottles. Very nice large-volume backpack. Improved from previous year's Bora 95.

Simply the Best

I went through a couple of steel insulating mugs before I sprung for the Snow Peak 450. It's lighter, never burns my lips and appears to be very well made. This one is a keeper. I didn't mind the Snow Peak name and logo on the side, but the "Outdoor Lifestyle Creator" subscript was a bit over the top, so I took a green pad and scrubbed the whole thing bare. Now it's a true minimalist mug.

Liquids hot, fingers not!

This cup does exactly what it says it does. It keeps whatever is inside nice and warm, while staying cool to the touch. And comes with a cool mesh net cinch bag so it doesn't rattle in your pack. Great product.

Liquids hot-Hands not

This does exactly what it's supposed to. 20 degrees outside, and my Jetboil brewed coffee stayed nice and toasty. Comes with a cinch down net to reduce clankage when packed.

The snowpeak 450 is great! I used it on a recent backpack trip for the first time and was very pleased. It keeps things hot and is easy to clean. If you want the best - look no further.

Snow Peak Ti 450 Double Wall Cup

By:
November 10, 2004

I bought 2 of these Snowpeak double wall mugs, 1 each for my hiking buddy and me. We took them with us on a hike over part of the AT in North Carolina, between I-40 and Lemon Gap. Mine worked great, holding a reasonable amount of coffee, and keeping it hot longer than my old plastic mug. The mug doesn't burn your lips, which was a worry for my buddy who did burn his on an older steel mug. The handles fold neatly, and it nested well inside the Snowpeak Ti Trek 700. It feels a tiny bit lighter than my old mug too - every ounce saved helps. The only issue was that my friend's mug lost the logo printing on the side, when he used an abrasive cleanser. Not really an issue, and mine is still pristine. Bottom line, I'd recommend these mugs for anyone wanting the combination of light weight, nesting ability, and insulation. John
