Smith Holt Plantronics Bluetooth Audio Helmet

Wear Smith's Holt Plantronics Bluetooth Audio Helmet and receive your business calls while you're playing in the park or bombing down the slopes. What's that distinctive swooshing noise? Oh, just the new office printer. The Holt Helmet's built-in speakers give you crisp, clear sound for your calls, and the volume controls are easy to reach on the sides of this helmet. The Plantronics Bluetooth's super sensitive microphone stops you from having to shout while you're riding the chairlift. This Smith helmet's AirEvac design keeps your goggles from fogging up, and the bombshell ABS construction protects your head. If you have an iPod Bluetooth adaptor for this system (not included), you can enjoy your tunes on the slopes as well.

Bottom Line: Smith's Hold Plantronics Bluetooth Audio Helmet—the ski lift might not be as comfortable as your office chair, but the view certainly is an improvement.

I am a Ski Patroller and want to know if this helmet will interface with our Patrol radios?

a Ski Patroller here, I have one of the Red Frequency Audex Motorola Bluetooth Helmet and use it with my patrol radio.. should be the same for this helmet. I made up a mono cable that goes from the ear plug jack from the mike (I use a mike with my radio) to a stereo jack into the BT transmitter (one that you use for a MP3/CD player). works great. make sure you get a BT transmitter with a good battery life. (I ended up making a little 6V battery pack that I plug (min-USB) into the BT transmitter (after 6 hours) to keep it going through an 8+ hour day, also works good to give the helmet a quick charge). the "Red" helmet also shuts off after no sound after some time (30+ mins). just have to make sure that on those quiet days (when the SP director is out :-) that you talk to someone every so often. I like having a volume control handy while riding the lifts. the problem I have with BT (in general) is that there is a delay. If you have another patroller (with a radio) next to you, it gets hard to hear as you basically have an echo.

My complant of the RED/GIRO BT helmets are the size of the head phones.
We are talking Geek / GearHead look :-(
