Smith Audrey Sunglasses

The Smith Audrey Sunglasses give you that classic Breakfast at Tiffany's look, but with optics technology that'll make your eyes say, “ahhh.” We guarantee Ms. Hepburn didn't have this kind of visual clarity back in the '60s. Smith's TLT technology tapers the lenses to match the curvature of your eye, which ensures zero distortion as you cruise through town. Acetate frames can hold up to abuse—whether you stick the Audrey Sunglasses in your purse or wear them on a wind-swept beach. These street sunglasses fit medium faces and feature a lens tint that's great for all-around use.

Bottom Line: Oversized cigarette holder not included.

Too Heavy

By:
October 28, 2008

I really like the look of these glasses; they're super cute! However, they are very heavy. I ended up returning them, because, as other reviewers mentioned, they slid off of my head if I tried to rest them on top, and they give me a headache when they are worn normally. I tried to convince myself that I could wear them, but in the end, it wasn't worth the hassle. :(

Cute

I really like these sunglasses-super cute. They are wide like the other reviewers mentioned, but a quick and easy fix is to take them to your local optical shop, most of them have a do-dad that will warm up the arms and they can bend them to custom fit them to your head so they will not slide down your nose.

Good form, bad function

By:

The glasses are super cute -- but they're not very practical. When doing yard work, they continually slipped down my nose. Maybe I've got an odd-shaped head, but it was also impossible for me to slide the glasses onto my noggin when going indoors. They'd either slide off to the side, or would gradually fall back onto my face.

glamor shades

These glasses look great and have good coverage, but I think they run a little wide. Compared to my sliders, they slip a lot more. At least they look good.

not for technical stuff

By:

I took a chance on these as I needed a pair of sunglasses for traveling in England. They look great, not too big but with enough coverage and I look oh-so-hot in my boyfriend's two-seater. However, they do not stand very well technically. They stems do not have much curve to catch on your ears so they kept on sliding down my nose during a hike, which proved too aggravating and eventually gave me a headache from my ears straining to keep them in place. Another annoying thing is probably just my anatomical oddity having a fairly wide head, but they do not fit over my head while resting them so I have to either take them off or carry them. The grading of the shade is great for driving and sitting at a cafe looking glamorous like Audrey Hepburn. Overall, the quality and the look is superb, and great for kicking about town, but if you're looking for a technical pair, these may not be the right ones.
