Simond Toucan Belay Device

The Simond Toucan Belay Device works the same as a regular tube-style device when belaying a leader, but its unique design lets it lock automatically when belaying from above. You just finished a marathon pitch and built your anchor. Connect the Toucan Belay Device to the anchor's power point to belay the second. Its auto-locking ability lets you eat, drink, and take pictures without risk. Simond also added a second ring that allows you to lower your partner by doing nothing but clipping yourself to the ring and leaning back to unlock the device.
