Skullcandy Smokin' Bud Headphones

Don't try to smoke these buds. The Skullcandy Smokin' Bud Headphones are strictly for your listening pleasure. Whip up a playlist of Cypress Hill, Marley, and Dre's Chronic and enjoy your tunes through these noise-reducing earphones. The Smokin' Buds make your music sound like that premium shiznit. These ear buds deliver a full, crisp frequency range and the fast response of full-size headphones in a tiny direct-to-ear package—better than the sticks and stems sound of most other earbuds. When the paranoia kicks in and you think you're listening to Bob a little too loud, adjust the Smokin' Bud's volume with the in-line control and relax. It's just Natural Mystic floating through the air.

Bottom Line: The Skullcandy Smokin' Buds give you dope sound in a small package.

Good workout earbuds

By: Sarah Y (13)

I got these when my dog ate my other skullcandy headphones and decided to go for the earbuds to make them less enticing to my canine. The first time a used them I thought the sounds was terrible, but that was because I had the in-line control all the way down. I like that they come with several earbud pieces so you can custom fit them to your ears so they stay in while running. Awesome!

Terrible

February 7, 2008

These are the worst ear buds I've ever owned. I bought them because I blew my iPod ear buds. They don't fit right and they don't stay in your ears so they're worthless for snowboarding. They make my mp3's sound worse and they're already breaking and having weird problems. They look really cool though. Stick with your iPod ear buds or find something else.

My skull candy's have been through a lot. I even accidentally put them through the washer and dryer and they still work perfectly. I'm amazed! Good Headphones. I'd recommend them to anyone.

These are remarkably comfortable to wear in the ear...the volume control is poorly design, but other than that, not at all bad.

MUSIC TO MY EARS

I finally got the buds that work for me! The silicon cushions have stopped the development of sores in my ears which has occured with other brands. They are comfy and the sound quality is good for the price.

save your money...

Unless you like wasting money I wouldn't recommend these..I've had two pairs of these and each time the left earphone stopped working only after a few weeks. The sound quality is sub-par, at best. The fit is horrible as they continuously fell out of my ears(I tried all of the different plugs). The plugs themselves are loose and fall out and get lost as well. Don't know if this years model has improved on those faults..but I would invest in another..more reliable/established brand (panasonic..sony?). Late.

Probably one of the best sets of headphones I have. They come in different sizes to perfectly fit your ear, even during the most activity they'll stay in! They're a good buy if you need something to last you for a long time with great quality of sound!

Awesome Earbuds!

I love these earbuds! They have crisp and clear sound quality, and the only problem I had with them, until one stopped working on my own fault, was that I kept losing the rubber things attached to them. I have rather small ears, so the smallest size and rubber flexibility fit nicely and comfortably into my ear for long periods of time without causing problems. They were the best earbuds I've had by far, and I plan on buying more.

when i am not rocking on my Skull candy T1's I am on these. Days when i do not want to ride with headphones on the outside of my beanie, just pop these in under the beanie. You can easily take one out to chat on the lift and back in to shred. they don't pop out of my ear or anything, they stay in there really well with the jelly covers. It sucks when you loose them! you should figure which size works for you and just super glue it on or you may loose them and then have to use the size that does not work in your ear as good.

Worth buying

In line volume control is nice, doesn't get accidentally changed nearly as much as I thought it would. The headphones themselves stay in your ears pretty well, even when running or talking. They include some different sizes of 'buds' for those people with large/small ears. Only negative is the sound quality, the range isn't good. But hell, these are by far the best in the price range.

Should be named 'eye candy'

Not very impressed with these ear bud headphones. Within about 2 weeks of buying my first pair all of the silicon ear pieces had fallen off and were lost. So I used ear pieces from other headphones I had and within another week there was a short in the mini plug. After trying a few more earphones, I decided to try these again. Skullcandy seems to have made some inline changes, as the silicon ear pieces didn't get lost as rapidly, but within a month, the I had a short in the mini plug again. I wouldn't buy these earphones again.

Weak on sound quality...

By: KB-in the SLC (16)
July 11, 2007

They did a great job on style and comfort. However, the sound quality is quite poor. They claim to cover 100hz-17khz. This means that in reality bass rolls off near 150hz, and highs at 15khz; AKA-significant chunks of the sound spectrum are unaccounted for. Weak bass, lacking high end harmonics. Headphones should cover 20hz-20khz... even cheap ones. Therefore IMHO they are just OK. If its comfort you want get them, if its sound you want... don't.

These earphones were great for the slopes, but they stopped working after a short period of time. It was either one earphones or the other cutting out. Thank God for the great return policy.
